Principal photography for Dead Man Down, a romantic thriller directed by Niels Arden Oplev, is slated to begin Monday in Philadelphia. The movie stars Colin Farrell, Noomi Rapace, Terrence Howard and Dominic Cooper.
Oplev directed Rapace in an earlier revenge-themed movie, the Swedish version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Farrell plays a crime lord’s right-hand man who is seduced by Rapace’s character in a scheme to exact retribution. Financing, sales and distribution company IM Global founder and CEO Stuart Ford and WWE Studios President Michael Luisi also announced that WWE Studios has joined IM Global as co-financier on the project. Neal Moritz’s Original Film and screenwriter J.H. Wyman of Frequency Films are producing the $30 million movie.

With wwe onboard, this movie will atleast get promoted at Walmarts across the country.
this is good for them wwe cosntantly promotes wwe studio films on their tv broadcasts
This sounds cool. It sounds like Luisi and Lowell are finally delivering on what they’ve been preaching for the last 6 months. Whether or not the movie is any good remains to be seen. Just happy to see another investor in the film business that isn’t doing $150 million dollar pieces of garbage. Wwe actually in a real movie. Shocked.
Its the same ole, same ole regurgitation of the his friends that he’s worked with and clearly no ability of original thought. Hollywood is the only business where people fail upwards and we always see that. A 30M film that has to roll the dice and hope it sells at a film festival is not my idea of a good investment!
Sounds boring, but I’ll watch it for Wade Barrett!
I watched a lot of wwe films since No Holds Barred, which I enjoyed. I noticed that you have an article about Dead Man Down. Terrance Howard is one of my favorite actors in the industry. I hope that wwe studios liked him & wants to work with him again. Thank you!
