The Good Dinosaur – The Pixar comedy is from director Bob Peterson, co-director Peter Sohn and producer John Walker. Untitled Pixar Movie About Dia De Los Muertos — Per Disney-Pixar: “From director Lee Unkrich and producer Darla K. Anderson, the filmmaking team behind the Academy Award-winning Toy Story 3, comes a wholly original Pixar Animation Studios film that delves into the vibrant holiday of Día de los Muertos. Savvy. Muppets was easily one of 5 best films last year. And the dia de Los Muertos project, can’t wait.
I take you only SAW 5 films last year?
The Muppets was a stupefying bore. Kids fell asleep. Anyone who remembers the first Muppet movie hated the new one. But Disney’s giving it a sequel and also a sequel to that box-office flop Pooh. What’s Mickey smoking these days?
I can not wait for The Good Dinosaur!!!
The best news: all Pixar originals, no sequels! (And no Toy Story 4… for now.)
Sounds great. But when did Tim Schaeffer become a creative consultant at Pixar?
I had the exact same thought. I always felt that Grim Fandango would make a wonderful movie, so I’ll be interested to see what Pixar does with the concept.
Funny – That was my first thought, too.
“A Journey Inside the Mind?” “Dia De Los Muertos?” Maybe one or the other wouldn’t have screamed “Double Fine” quite so loudly…But the two of them together like that? Most definitely.
I hope they are all in 3d?
I hope none of them are.
Agreed. Hate 3D, I find it distracting.
Loved the muppets Jason Segal did work highly it will be just as good without him writing can’t edit got dinosaur one my boys will be excited sucks we have to wait two years already bad enough we have to wait for catching fire that long
I think with the Movie That Takes You Inside The Mind I think it would make a great attraction at Disney Parks
I think something like that used to be a ride at Epcot called Body Wars in the “Wonders of Life” pavillion if I’m not mistaken.
Heads up: Body Wars was the attraction that mimicked ‘Innerspace’, I’m sure you meant Cranium Command?
Isn’t Guillermo Del Toro already doing a Dia De Los Muertos movie that was just announced??? How long are we going to have to endure Hollywood copying each other. Looks like precious, untarnished Pixar can rip off ideas as well as the rest of them!
Yes, Guillermo and Reel FX’s Dia De Los Muertos project was announced in February. Not to say Pixar ripped off the project, but you think they’d be pursuing a different project after the announcement – maybe they missed the memo… or maybe they just don’t care.
What movie concept has not Guillermo not come up with? The guy is king of a thousand unfinished “projects.”
Pixar starting developing this movie first.
all the Pixar films sound good. and shockingly they are original. Thank you Pixar
Unlike the poster above, the thought of a Pixar film set in a Dia De Los Muertos world by the Toy Story 3 team already has me salivating to see it. If Del Toro has something as well, bring it on. I’m not one to complain about too many good films.
Totally agree with Totally Confused:
Day of the Dead team 1: Guillermo and Jorge
Day of the Dead team 2: Darla and Lee?
If I’m going to see an animated story about a Mexican holiday, it’s probably going to be the one led by the Mexican team that actually understands the culture and meaning of DOTD first hand. Oh, and the one that isn’t a rip off.
Day of the Dead by Gutierrez & Langdale was making the rounds in 2011. When did Disney/Pixar start developing their project?
