BREAKING: Dwayne Johnson is attached to Lore, a pic that was just bought by Warner Bros as a star vehicle for Johnson stars in the upcoming GI Joe 2, Empire State, and Pain and Gain. Cory Goodman is writing with Jeremy Lott. The pic is based on the IDW graphic novel and Andrew Lazar, David Alpert and Rick Jacobs are producing. Deal was in the seven-figures. The graphic novel has been compared to Men in Black, with mythological creatures. Four studios bid on it.
WME reps Johnson, Goodman by WME, Lott by Paradigm and both scribes are managed by Adam Goldworm of Aperture. IDW’s Ted Adams and the graphic novel’s creator, Ashley Wood, will be exec producers along with Miri Yoon. IDW’s repped by CAA and Circle of Confusion.

great news for all involved. Lazar is the man! i hope this means that Echo Lake will make Jeremy’s amazing script MAN AT ARMS.
This is great for Lott! I am super excited and love his work.
That Goodman guy is no slouch either. Huge sale.
That’s a big day at the office for Aperture.
I am so excited! I love Lott and Goodman together!
ANNABELLE should have been Black List last year. Big ups to Goodman.
This guy should be in everything. Those writers ain’t too bad either.
Dude! I love The Rock! Eye candy, monsters. What’s not to love?
This sounds like the perfect role for the Rock. He always is able to bring a sensitive masculinity to his roles, so it will be interesting to see what he does with this.
This is awesome! I love when Lott and Goodman work together!
Can I pre-order my tickets yet?
I just looked up the Graphic Novel. Can I just say this movie is going to be AWESOME?
Is anybody who doesn’t rep someone invlolved allowed to post here?
I really enjoy The Rock. He is entertaining and all round easy to take. I look forward to his films.
Lazar will screw this up some how.
You’ve got to give Goldworm some credit here– I remember hearing this pitch 2+ years ago and nobody bought it. This is good agenting and out-of-the-box thinking. Congratulations for sticking with this.
Rock seems to be on FIRE!! Cant wait for everything he has coming out.
Love Cory Goodman’s work — Last Witch Hunter has always been a favorite, hoping it makes it to the big screen intact!
wow, looks like i walked into a troll convention … either that or this is the schindler’s list of action films.
give it a rest, people. this is an ex-wrestler in a comic book movie.
Huge congrats to Adam Goldworm–great work!
Jeremy Lott has been writing great scripts for awhile. Good for those who have recognized the talent.
I love the 15 comments posted within 5 minutes of each other praising the film. Pretty sure that’s why Goldworm was on the Brown List.
