Fox tonight will unveil the first on-air promo for MundoFox, the upcoming Spanish-language broadcast network backed by Fox International Channels and Colombia’s RCN Television Group. This marks the first new broadcast network to launch in the U.S. since the CW started in fall of 2006. Mundo Fox, which has locked in affiliates in 20 DMAs, representing over 40% of U.S. Hispanic households, is targeting distribution in over 75% of U.S. Hispanic households by its launch, slated for fall. Here is the promo:

Gee, everybody’s “white”….aren’t there brown skinned Latinos?
Umm. I saw different shades throughout, even dark brown. What were you watching?
@SallyinChicago: Should it matter?
Gee, the stereotype has always been that latinos are dark, when in reality if you ever travel to these various countries there are a lot of fare skinned latinos too. It has always been a diverse bunch within the latino community. so your ‘everybody’s white’ comment stems from lack of culture.
Completely agree with you. As for the other poster who says he saw different shades throughout, give me a break. Yeah, there was ONE ‘even dark brown’ guy, and then what?? Oh well. I guess we can see what they are going for here – and it’s not inclusion.
get new glasses
Thanks for helping hobble the U.S., Fox. Another step to make America bi-ligual but fluent in NO language.
Bring it. Latino millennials are ready.
There you go, the network hasn’t even premiered and already (our own) people are giving it negative press. This is the reason we don’t move forward. Let’s give it a chance.
Like the concept.
The Dominican basketball guy is dark skinned.
But what happened to our diversity of color??
Only 5 nationalities are represented.
What happened to the rest of the nationalities???
So new and fresh, yet Veronica Castro “que parese una momia” is the
highlited talent? QUE PASO?
I DON”T KNOW…
i agree with “purodesmadre”the time has come for latinos to SHINE!!!!!!!
I don’t think this has anything to do with making Spanish people happy. Fox knows there’s millions of people who can’t speak Spanish so they make a new Spanish network to reel in more viewers. More viewers= More money. It’s all a business and they want to make money. Green is the only color that matters.
I’m not sure what “Americano como tu” has to do with sports, unless the sports being carried are American sports. Help me here….
I don’t care who is watching or what color or shade of skin the people on the promo have. SHOW ME THE PROGRAMMING! I’ll decide if I want to watch the shows MundoFox is promising.
