The latest trailer from Paramount‘s sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation hit the web today, giving more screen time to Bruce Willis and the film’s plot. Last night at CinemaCon, director Jon Chu called his star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson “franchise Viagra”. Do you agree? The movie, co-produced by MGM and Skydance, is set for a June 29 bow.

Assuming “franchise Viagra” is a compliment, then it should be said about Bruce Willis, too.
Die Hard, The Whole Nine Yards, RED…and some very interesting stuff in between. Like a fine wine, Bruce gets better with age while making films generally more fun with his presence.
How can you say Willis gets better with age? Pretty much everything he’s touched since Pulp Fiction has been the very definition of bile. 1988 through 1995 was Willis’ golden era.
Fifth Element, The Jackal, Last Man Standing, Twelve Monkeys, Sixth Sense, Red, Unbreakable, Sin City and Bandits are all 1995 and later.
I guess one person’r bile is another person’s enjoyment.
The Whole Ten Yards, 16 Blocks, Cop Out, Catch .44, The Cold Light of Day — fine wine?…more like two buck Chuck.
Okay that looked awesome
The Good: More faithfully to 80s (Real American Hero) lore
The Bad: Bruce Willis (miscast character)
The Ugly: Below Average Movie
This looks pretty good. Much better than the first one which I hated. I’ll give it another shot and check it out.
Bruce Willis is going to make this movie great. Same with The Rock. The first GI Joe was actually pretty good, but suffered from a Wayans and too large of a role from Channing Tatum. Looks like The Rock has bigger role than Channing. Excited for this as well as Die Hard 5
I love how Channing Tatum is nowhere to be found in the last couple trailers then he becomes a big star in the last 6 months, so they put him in this trailer. Unfortunately, doesn’t look like he survives the first 30 minutes of the film.
I’m slightly ignored that The Rock and Badass Willis have taken over from Channing Tatum.
I sat through the first GI Joe because of him, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marlon Wayans and although this is totally new direction, I expected Channing Tatum to still lead as Duke and see much more of him in the trailers.
Yes,the trailer still looks freaking awesome and very confident this movie will be a true hit plus I love both The Rock and Badass Willis generally.
However, aaaaaahhhhhh somehow I’m not in a rush to watch this movie especially if, Channing’s going to be in it less than 30 minutes (which might not be the case), think I will stick with Magic Mike first.
Movie looks soooooo much better than the 1st one. This is definitely on my radar for this summer, looks fun!
I Saw this at a secret advanced screening. I waited in line for like three hours to find out it was this uneven ridiculous film. Ugh.
every action movie has to look like the transformers now – it’s the law.
I thought the first GI Joe was a great movie with alot of action and it had a understandable plot. I liked all the characters and think they did a good job. I don’t know why there is so much hate on Marlon Wayans he did a good job in GI Joe. Some people just don’t like to see others do well. Haters.
