Whoa. Our protagonist is so frustrated he flips over a desk AND punches a mirror! One can only hope he never becomes so exasperated and disheartened that he rests his back against a wall and slowly sinks into a seated position, head in hands.
To be fair he is trying to punch someone in the face and decks the mirror by mistake.
Could it also be raining while he does this? Can we license an Evanescence song for this scene?
It looks fantastic!
I WANT to like this. Cillian Murphy is great, and it’s very nice to see Robert De Niro as something other than an old CIA has-been. Nothing about the trailer makes me hate it. So far, so good. I’m still looking forward to it.
This was the worst movie I saw at Sundance. I asked a senior Sundance programmer why they let it in the festival and the response was “We saw a really rough cut and kinda hoped it would improve.” I really wanted to walk out of it, but unlike most of the buyers at Eckles, didn’t have an escape route planned.
