EXCLUSIVE: ICM television agent Nick Khan, whose clients include firebrand anchors Keith Olbermann and Nancy Grace, is leaving the agency. Sources say he is going to CAA though the agency is not confirming the hire at this time. Khan joined boutique lit agency Broder Webb Chervin Silbermann at the end of 2005 to launch a sports/news broadcaster division. He segued to ICM following the two agencies’ merger six months later. Expected to move with Khan to CAA are all his clients: Olbermann, Grace, sports broadcasters/analysts Hannah Storm, John Anderson, Jim Lampley, Jalen Rose and Max Kellerman as well as boxing trainer Freddie Roach. Additionally, Khan is bringing with him the junior agent in the ICM broadcaster department, Evan Dick. Khan, whose sister is Don’t Trust The B— In Apt. 23 creator Nahnatchka Khan, had been pondering a move for awhile. While he was single-handedly running the sports and news broadcaster business at ICM, an agency focused on its core TV and film lit/talent areas, at CAA Khan would join a team of established agents including Alan Berger, Andy Elkin and Trace Armstrong.

Nick is a great guy. Always had five minutes to chat when I was an ICM asst.
It’s about time ICM wised up…good luck CAA!
caa got lucky getting these guys. you know it.
The bad seed is out
Bad seed is an understatement. They are both disliked, two-faced and completely untrustworthy. Nick walked around ICM like he owned the place. Probably couldn’t find an office big enough for his ego. Evan comes off as a nice guy until you realize how calculated he is. Too bad they didn’t sink with the ship. My opinion of CAA and their standards just went down several notches.
ICM ship sinks with or without them.
if by bad seed you mean money maker then, yes, the bad seed is out
This is an incredible addition for CAA. Nick Khan is one of the sharpest agents in the business, and I am fortunate to say that I have had the pleasure of working with him. Only the best of luck to him and his clients.
are you serious? clearly this “mike” has worked with him, and not for him. he may be nice to the random person walking down the hallway, and nice to a buyer.. but try working for him. good luck with that one. opposite of a nice guy.
Nick is a great guy. Smart, compassionate and tough. I’ve done business with him and think he’s amazing. CAA is lucky to have him.
I think Evan would agree. Nick tortured him for years.
Evan is a bright kid. He wouldn’t go with Nick to CAA unless he knew that was a smart move.
if by torture you mean he got him paid then yes, he tortured him
there we two mikes who were his assistants. one was a male cheerleader from florida a&m which was interesting because that guy would brag about cheerleading all the time at icm. this is showbiz not cheerleading camp!
NICK KHAN IS A BEAST!
I hope he works with someone as smart as Ted chevrin because on his own he wouldn’t be able to sign jalen rose’s probation officer
Chervin gives a good meeting but has no follow up. All sizzle no steak.
The guy who ruined Olbermann’s career?
Don’t know whether that’s Nick’s fault or not, and the blame may very well fall squarely on Olberman’s shoulders, but man, is that a career that’s taken a nose dive.
The guy who made another agent switch offices to get 3 additional square feet? Cake and champagne and mainly Coke is being served in honor of our former agent.
isn’t an agent supposed to be tough or should the agent just not care about the small things?
Nick is a class act individual who always treated everyone around him with kindness and respect. I wish him nothing but the best of luck and know he will do well for himself.
Nick Khan is a gentlemen with class and integrity. CAA is a better agency with him. To those who post insults on this board, you will be exposed one day, and boy will that be a fun day indeed.
Sick client list! Another measured move by CAA to grow their business.
Amazing agent and even better human being! Congratulations to him!
Nick and Evan are great guys and are great what they do. CAA is lucky to have them.
he Subplot here is that Evan Dick is lightning in a bottle.. this kid is a total animal and is going to flourish in an agency with a legit sports business..
Solid move by CAA
Lightening a bottle. Couldn’t use 3 words better to sum up Evan Dick. What a shark. Mark my words he is gonna make a killing
Yea, I can’t say enough nice things about Evan (even though I think Nick is a douche bag); it wouldn’t shock me to learn that CAA made Evan an offer and he felt bad and told them he’d only go if they took Nick too.
the guys rock, surprised nick left chervin though….ted must be sad.
Chervin hasn’t signed a lit client in years. According to the Silbermann article after this, ICM had the worst lit packaging season last year. Time for Chervin to step down.
Mickey, Josh, Nick, Matt Rice all left Ted. Their fault or his?
Olberman advisor and agent. ‘Nuff said.
nick and evan are both amazing agents and better guys. ted started them and they will now take it to the next level
Nick is a great guy and a great agent. Chervin must be pissed. He’s been losing all of his key agents. Teddy might need to stop taking those 20 minute naps after lunch and focus on keeping his friends/agents happy. Congrats Uncle Nick!
ted has made millions and will be fine – that said, nick and evan will be great. heard they covered their assistants cobra out of pocket and we all know most agents would never do that.
Excellent move by CAA!
i don’t know these dudes but that is a really good client list.
Dont Trust the B is amazing. This guy is a great guy. I wish I could be a Khan.
Great move for caa and for nick khan. Why would nick leave Ted and that tv group? Seems like Icm was not committed to building out that business!
Great for nick. That client roster should be exposed to the talent and resources at Caa. Caa continues to improve!
Big blow to ICM! Coincidence the Silverman article came out right after this one? Weak attempt to save face if ya ask me!
Doesn’t Silbermann even know that the first article means the most? CAA beats ICM to the punch again.
nick and evan built one of the most prestigious sports media rosters from nothing. Scary thought what those two will accomplish at a real agency
