EXCLUSIVE: In a hot package fast coming together to start production this summer, Robert Luketic will direct Paranoia, a corporate espionage thriller that is set in the world of dueling telecom giants. The Hunger Games‘ Liam Hemsworth is set to play the lead, and Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman are in advanced negotiations to join him.
The film, an adaptation of the Joseph Finder novel, is being fully financed by Stuart Ford’s IM Global, and the most recent script draft is by Jason Hall. Barry Levy (Vantage Point) wrote the initial version. The film’s being produced by Emjag’s Alexandra Milchan, Film 360′s Scott Lambert and Gaumont. Hemsworth’s repped by WME and ROAR, Ford by UTA and Oldman by Douglas Management Group and APA.

Oh wow. Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman together? Count me in. Ford has a busy schedule ahead if he does commit to this. He’s filming ‘Ender’s Game’ now, and I had thought ’42′ was going to shoot at some point over the summer; this says this starts this summer too…? Of course, maybe they’re quick shoots, or, perhaps more likely, they are small, more supportive roles for Ford.
Anyone read the script?
This is a hot package.
Script is SO awesome.
I’ve read the book. I’ve read ALL of Joseph Finder’s books. He also wrote HIGH Crimes with Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd. Paranoia is a real thriller! I think it’s going to be a huge hit!
This was based on best selling author Joseph Finder’s book, PARANOIA! He also wrote HIGH CRIMES which starred Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd!
Barry Levy’s script was amazing. Dude wrote Vantage Point which I loved. I read it a year ago. I hate when executives feel the need to rewrite a great script. It’s almost like the producers feel the need to justify there jobs.
okay Barry… thanks for your input.
Uh who is IM Global and why are making this and not one of the studios?
This cast is amazing.
Looks like “Abducted” but instead of Taylor Lautner its the less talented Hemsworth sibling.
Spot on.
neither of you have read the book OR the script if you think this is abduction.
Gary Oldman? fantastic. Harrison Ford? nice. Liam Hemsworth? lol.
Hope this Liam guy doens’t turn out to be the next Josh Hartnet(?). Wasn’t he supposed to be the next big star? Where is he now?
Harrison Ford could play Spot The Dog in a live action version of Spot The Dog and nobody would see it
Oldman looks like an old Edward Norton in that pic
This trio sounds a bit like a beautiful vintage car with super-charged engine, but unfortunately tires made of Play-doh.
Is it me or is Harrison aging at an hyper-accelerated rate?
the dude is 70 what do you expect? you expect him to stay the same way when he was doing “The Fugitive” or Air Force One?
Liam is not lautner. He can act without using his abs. (tho i dont think any of us would mind seeing that).
Yes, I forgot Liam’s noteworthy performance as Miley’s boyfriend in Last Song. He loved the role so much, he’s continuing his research for a sequel. He’s sub-par level of Lautner
Love Gary and Harrison. I can’t remember the movie that they did together before… hmmm
That would be AIR FORCE ONE. Where I found myself rooting for Oldman’s Russian terrorist, because he was an infinitely better acted character than Ford’s President.
Thank You! I had the scenes in my head but I just can’t remember the name of the movie.
I am a big fan of Gary Oldman. I wish he would be more picky about his film projects- like Daniel Day-Lewis.
I wish Oldman would be more picky ,but then we would not see him in the cinema often LOL .Other than that maybe he does still not get “good” offers and has to take what he gets ? It´s sad but if I watch his resumee above the last years sometimes it feels they always forget him when it comes to casting a lead part in a high profile movie and I don´t mean such movies like Potter or Batman, LOL more like a drama or a rom com .LOL -except a rare lead in TTSS ,he seems always doomed to be supporting .Why don´t they trust him as a lead ? He proofed this year ,he is capable of that .Anyway this project sounds not too bad IMHO.Let´s hope for the best .
Gary Oldman is only about the money. If you can’t pay him big bucks you will never get him in your film. Guy does nothing for the art of it. Sure he’s a brilliant actor and brings it most of the time but he’s only about making bank. If you see him in a two million dollar indie film, it’s because 85 percent of the budget went in his pocket. This guy needs a serious moral alignment and then maybe he’ll find himself starring in more great films like Tinker Tailor.
An actor needs a “a serious moral alignment” because he wants to get paid? Give me a break …
