New Line Cinema has acquired an action-comedy pitch that Michael Starrbury will adapt based on Duncan Rouleau’s Image Comics title The Great Unknown. Jorma Taccone is attached to direct and Mark Gordon and Jennifer Todd will produce for The Mark Gordon Company.
Comic’s about a guy who is convinced someone’s stealing all of his great ideas and groundbreaking innovations before he can do anything about them. Rouleau’s part of Man of Action Studios which also created Ben 10 and Generator Rex.
Starrbury’s rewriting Fully Automatic for Warner Bros, and did the Black List script Watch Roger Do His Thing. Taccone, part of the Lonely Island trio from Saturday Night Live, directed Macgruber. Starrbury is represented by CAA and Caliber Media. Taccone is represented by UTA and Mosaic.

Duncan Rouleau is a talented and terrific guy. Kudos!
DR and all of those Man of Action guys are top notch. Congrats.
Congrats!
Image is the place to scout out the gold nuggets.
the lonely island guys are THE BOMB.
Let me see…Jorma Taccone, the name sounds vaguely familiar…wasn’t he the guy that directed,
“MacGruber” ?
Yes. And there is some very funny stuff in it. Taccone’s a talented guy in my opinion.
Is it just me or is Warners developing a lot of graphics novels projects lately, but none from its own DC Comics library?
