EXCLUSIVE: Paula Patton is in talks to star with Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg in 2 Guns, a film that’s based on a Steven Grant graphic novel published by Boom! Studios. Baltasar Kormakur, who just directed Wahlberg in the remake of his film Contraband, is helming. The script was written by Blake Masters. Emmett/Furla Films is co-financing, and Universal will distribute domestically. Marc Platt is producing along with Boom!’s Andrew Cosby and Ross Richie, and Randall Emmett and George Furla.
Patton is coming off the female lead in Mission: Impossible–Ghost Protocol, the Brad Bird-directed hit. In 2 Guns, Patton will play Washington’s love interest, I’m told. She just completed Disconnect opposite Alexander Skarsgard and Jason Bateman. She’s repped by WME and managed by Flavor Unit.

Get it, Paula!
DeJa Vu? Literally.
Why is it that the actresses playing wives to older actors are always 20 years younger than them? Tom Cruise is hooking up with two actress young enough to be his daughters in Oblivion, now Washington (nearly 60) has a 30+ year old wife.
Stop trying to screw it up for the rest of us. Douche.
She’s so dull. And she tries so hard.
If that’s dull, I don’t want exciting.
Ha! Cuz rich, powerful men don’t have to date women their own age. Just ask George Clooney! Denzel has historically had younger actresses always play opposite him. Plus I think he & Paula have great chemistry. That was obvious in Deja Vu. I’m wouldn’t be surprised if he hand picked her for the role.
