Longtime New Line Cinema marketing and publicity executive Tracy Lorie died last night of complications resulting from a brain tumor. Lorie was instrumental in Lord Of The Rings campaigns around the world and subsequently worked as a campaign strategist for Warner Bros. Lorie was named VP of international publicity at New Line in 2000 and was involved in strategies for all the company’s releases. Before joining New Line she had her own marketing company Blank Stare Productions. She also worked as a producer at Junket Productions handling interviews and other activity in support of movie campaigns. She also served as a marketing consultant to Fox and worked in publicity for MGM and United Artists. Survived by her husband Neil Sebba.

That’s a real shame. I didn’t know her personally, but, I wouldn’t wish a terrible thing like that on anyone.May she rest in peace.
Every death is tragic.
I wish her family, friends, and soul all the best.
Rest in peace Mrs. Lorie.
Terribly sad she was a wonderful woman who will be remembered fondly by everyone who knew her.
Rest in peace, babygirl!!!!
Tracy was my downstairs neighbor before she was married. I loved her father and I loved her. I had lost touch with her … I had no idea. Just stunned.
Rest in peace sweet girl.
Tracy, I will think of you often and how you were such an actively positive addition to my own life journey. You leave a lovely legacy behind. We are thanful for you having been.
a friend.
That’s so sad. When one hears of a brain tumor in someone so young, the first thing that comes to mind is was she constantly on a cell phone discussing business and making deals? I guess we’ll never know for sure, but to be safe, it’s an earpiece or speakerphone for me.
I had the pleasure of working with Tracy for nearly a decade and she was a truly lovely woman. New Line was a real family and she was always well liked. I’m terribly saddened by the news. Condolences to her husband and her family. Rest in peace.
Tracy was one of my favorite people at New Line. A great energy, friendly and always fun to be around. This news is really sad and tragic. I will keep her family in my prayers. R.I.P. Tracy

Tracy sounds like an outstanding professional — and even better person. Too young and too soon to leave us. My condolences to her family, friends and loved ones. RIP.
