Welcome to Screenwriting 301.
Ooooooh, I like this–a lot. It’s a *Stranger Than Fiction/Weird Science/Splash* tribrid. I always get Zoe Kazan and Zosia Mamet mixed-up. (“quirky-20-something-actress-whose-name-starts-with-Z-and is-the-daughter-of-a-hollywood-auteur/legend” syndrome) Hopefully, this film will help me differentiate the two.
Stranger than Fiction meets Delirious with hipster music
WOW!
Looks great!
Zoe’s a monster talent who’s way overdue for breakout stardom. Attention must be paid to anyone who can steal scenes from Christopher Walken on Broadway.
looks like a movie only a writer could love
Needs critical recasting, I tried to like it but just couldn’t.
The only reason this isn’t trumped as trash is because the woman isn’t a bimbo and the guy isn’t a lothario-in-training. Still, the tired fantasy of the “perfect” woman being the one that does whatever a guy says is prehistoric. What’s worse is that annoying nerds everywhere will find the courage to expect this behavior from women.
are we TIRED of unwashed hipsters yet?
I must say, it looks dreadful to me, but what I DO find interesting is that she looks just like him in drag. Which makes her an extension of his narcissism. I am sure it was unintentional, but I like that….
Sorry. This premuse is a Rod Sterling, Twilight Zone episode.
And Hunger Games is Battke Royal a Japanese pic.
Weird Science for Hipster Twerps.
