Last night’s Saturday Night Live with host Sofia Vergara and musical guest One Direction drew a 5.0/13 household rating/share in the metered markets, up 16% from the show’s most recent original almost a month ago, which was hosted by Jonah Hill. (This week’s SNL also was up 6% from the same night last year). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, SNL was up 12% from the last original and up 16% from the same night last year. It was one of the higher-rated SNL shows this season though Vergara was no match fro Lindsay Lohan, whose stint on the late-night NBC show earned a 5.5/14 in households and a 3.3/15 in 18-49.

Well SNL is a guaranteed paycheck between jobs and regular national exposure.

hmmm…i’d say sofia was a match for lindsay…didn’t see sofia blatantly reading the cue cards like lindsay….oh yeah….and other than the real housewives of disney sketch…..sofia was funnier….
Absolutely! It was sooo obvious in the police sketch that Lindsay Lohan was directly reading off the cue cards. If you are going to host, study your lines!!!

Sofia was great and funny ! One direction was entertaining …The sketch with Penelope Cruz was amazing.
But I think SNL should invite more artist with more controversy behind them …Like Charlie Sheen .The rating will be amazing

Kate McKinnon debuted on Sat and rocked the Penelope Cruz impression. She does a killer Ann Coulter and lots of others. Look for her to breakout big. She’s from UCB and has major chops. Check out her clips from Big Gay Sketch Show.

I like Kristin but she is wearing on me. And I never understood who the Gilley character. Some of her characters now seem like versions of the same thing. I think she should move on or there will Wiig overload.
