Looks kinda great. Great to see him back with Judy Davis too.
Not totally sure what this one is about, but I’m going.
Even by Woody standards, great cast.
This looks great. Nice to see Woody in front of the camera too. Look out 12-34 year-old fan boys, Mom and Dad are taking over the multiplex! No talking, turn off your phones and keep your damn feet off of the seat in front of you.
Can we just have Penelope Cruz lie on the bed for 120 minutes? Please.
This is CORN.
‘NYE’ had a great cast too – This is not a valid compliment for a film.
However, what a shame he can only give them the kind of dialogue he dishes up these days to play with. When the two lame ducks – ‘Thinking in Euros’ and ‘Can’t imagine working on my back’ Prostitute says ‘I can’ (The wit! The freshness! Who saw that coming!!) – are the best gags you’ve got to show for two hours, that’s a sad day for a great wit.
i hope you can recover from this sad moment of your life and move on… i’m praying for you
That means a lot ‘DMAN’, and I thank you.
…Said the struggling comedy writer.
Look, here’s your shot kid — and that’s the best you’re gonna do? Do you know how many influential folks read these boards… it’s time to shine or move back to the end o’ the bread line. Woody’s earned the right.
would have been nice to mention there are 4 separate different stories… if you don’t know that it seems a little scattershot… which it might be anyway… but still would be nice to mention it
looks fun… especially the benigni thing… that one has an “everything you always wanted to know about sex” kind of tone…
Am I the only one who loathes anything with Ellen Page? (Substitute Alec Baldwin, Jessie Eisenberg as needed)
No. I can’t stand her too She looks the same in every movie.
And Jessie Eisenberg is very limited actor. I can’t believe that he got that Oscar nomination. Fincher can make miracles. When there is no Fincher around then Jessie returns to be mediocre sad dramedy actor. Guy can not act. That’s why he was cast in Social Network. Because the character looked similar to what Eisenberg was doing in every movie. They only make him talk faster And there you go – Oscar nomination.
To mee it looked a little unclear, honestly it looked a little crowded, to much going on, only the whole alec baldwin, jesse eisenberg part looked interesting.
Loved the video tag ending. Great trick!!!
Woody usually gets my interest…this is no different.
Just threw up my dinner!!! Ew Ew Ew Ew Ew!!!! I didn’t realize perverts could get so much praise.
You’re confusing Allen with Polanski.
It’s kind of sad that most people missed Page in “Super.” It’s one of those performances you see once and never forget, totally overshadowing Rainn Wilson.
And I totally second the “Yay, Woody’s back with Judy Davis!” comment.
he married his daughter, but he is so talented he must be a good guy.
If you’re going to hate on the guy, at least be accurate. He didn’t marry his daughter. He married his girlfriend’s adopted daughter, who was of legal age, and the two have been together ever since. So I’m assuming there must have been something there.
Just because you don’t approve of the situation doesn’t make him a terrible man. Get over it.
