New York, NY (April 13, 2012) — Voltage Pictures (THE HURT LOCKER) is joining New York-based Killer Films (BOYS DON’T CRY, MILDRED PIERCE) on THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM, an original screenplay by Wentworth Miller. Nicolas Chartier and Zev Foreman of Voltage will team with Killer’s Pamela Koffler and Christine Vachon to produce.
THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM is a dramatic thriller about a woman who moves into a mysterious old house in the country with her husband and young son, only to discover their new home comes with a dark past.
The project is currently out to directors.
Miller’s previous screenplay, STOKER, stars Nicole Kidman and Mia Wasikowska and will be distributed by Fox Searchlight. He is represented by Joanne Wiles of ICM and Lindsay Williams and Lee Stollman of The Gotham Group.

Sounds awesome. Wentworth sure has mad talent. I cant wait to see this project of his. Its gonna be great.
This guy’s on fire on the writing side. Wonder if those Perez Hilton photos killed his leading man cred?
I understand it’s his prerogative to decide if he wants to act or not but someone get him back on screen. A romcom, action or something… Glad that screenwriting is working out for him though.. The premise sounds exhausted but obviously the film has a twist… Hoping it works out
Best. Looking. Screenwriter. Ever.
Sorry, William Goldman.
To be honest, he seems happier writing and working behind the scenes. I got the impression the attention and type of fame that came with being famous as an actor wasn’t particularly attractive to him.
Congrats to him and best of luck with it, truly, but doesn’t this concept sound like a dog that’s been put to sleep only like a million times before?
read this script a month or two ago. pretty cool take on a tired concept. wentworth is the man, lots of luck on the writing career
Please. In addition to trust fund screenwriters and all kinds of nepotism in the writing ranks, now we have to contend with actors???
And isn’t that plotline just a tad tired?
A seriously disappointing and cliche script; why is this being made?
Hear, hear
