The upcoming cycle of Dancing With The Stars will be an all-star edition, ABC president Paul Lee announced during the network’s press call this morning. “We’re bringing fan favorites from the past 14 seasons,” Lee said. He added that casting has already started but wouldn’t elaborate on which former celebrity contestants the network is targeting. The move comes after steep declines for the venerable reality franchise this season.

I hate NBC for programming the voice opposite dancing. But my wish list is : Lil Kim (with Derek), mario lopez, stacy kiebler, sabrina bryan,
Yes, DWTS needs to move RESULTS show back to 9pm, and then start HE and APT 23 2 or 3 weeks in. With an all-star edition, they can do the 8pm hour as highlights, b/c people will want to see the most they can of these all-stars.
Wish list for all-stars: Mario Lopez, Joanna Krupa, Stacie Keibler, Sabrina Bryan, Joey Fatone, Kyle Massey, Chelsie Kane, Warren Sapp, Mel B, Joey Lawrence, Pam Anderson, Lisa Rinna.
It is not NBC’s fault, if DWTS would use the old noodle for creating a better show instead of spreading trash talk and sex hook ups with the pros, they would fair much better.
DWTS pitfall IS THE sex hook ups and trash talk, if they would update the standards of the show all would fair better and ratings would return to them but THEY insist on putting the show standards in the toilet and flushing!
I want to see Mel B….Donny Osmand…. Drew Lachey…and defiantly Jennifer Gray….. The judges keep saying this season that this was the best season..did they forget about HER??? she was AWESOME???? I Loved her…..bring back the best and bring back MAX best personality EVER on your show

I am so tired of the NFL players winning whether they have talent or not. Do you Americans not understand that a “Melissa Gilbert” can not hold up to a PACKER PLAYER??? What is wrong with you. How many people watch the superbowl” ANYONE???? DUH….nobody can compete with their votes….think about it ABC You aren’t being fair to the other dancers…. they aren’t going to pull the votes that a GREEN BAY packer contestant can. It’s ridiculous to think so… I have been a fan of this show from the beginning but I’m getting sick of the contestant that has an overwhelming advantage over talent. And the panel needs to have a save like american idol does. Maria Mueonous (sorry bout sp?) She was one of the best dancers and got voted out over the rest….just like Mel B ridiculous. I may stop watching as many of others are saying also. Sick & tired of seeing amatuer dancers that are staying when others are being voted off….. Get serious or I’m OUT

I have watched every single season of “Dancing with the Stars” but I’m gonna skip this one. What a cheap ploy to get higher ratings. The thing is it won’t bring them, the ratings will decline even more. People don’t want to see contestants they already saw, they want to see new faces. Get actual C- and D-listers, do not scrap the bottom of barrel. Get rid of the old judges and get a new female co-host. That’s all.

Well, Jake, begin to hate ABC too. Because the network moved Dancing to 8:00 on Tuesday AGAINST THE VOICE. So in this cast Its not NBC’s fault.

This just reeks of deperation. The only reason the ratings for DWTS have been down in the past couple of seasons is because they refuse to cast actual stars on the show. Of course there’re not going to get the likes of Kidman or Clooney on the show but there are plenty of major names in film and sport would have continuously approached the producers about doing the show (stars who have more star power individually than the entire resultant casts combined) and are constantly rejected. I wouldn’t be surprised if this all-star gimmick (just like a lot of the gimmicks they’ve been trotting out with this show this season) results in the show not being picked up the following season. Oh well. Nice while it lasted.

Kelly Monaco, DWTS done her so dirty the year she won. I’ve watch every year DWTS has been on. DWTS acts like she wasn’t even the winner of the show. If it hadn’t been for her I wouldn’t have even watched that first year.

They can try all they want but DWTS needs not to bring old contestants back but to have a better voting system and some work on the judges. All my friends agree after Tues. elimination of Maria they have lost interest in show and not even going to watch the finals.
