ABC’s medical procedural Body Of Proof has been renewed for a third season with a 13-episode order. It was unclear whether ABC would hold onto a pure procedural like Body of Proof with its schedule dominated by serialized dramas, but the series’ its chances have been steadily improving over the last few weeks. The series starring Dana Delany has been a reliable performer in the Tuesday 10 PM slot and also has been a big international seller for ABC Studios, which co-produces it with Matthew Gross Entertainment.

It reminds me a lot of Quincy. The way Kate and Megan interact remind me of Quincy and Astin . Bud reminds me of Monahan. Sam is more vocal than Brill though.

sure thing of being cancelled? ha! this show rocks. it’s interesting and funny, and there’s always a twist at the end. Tuesday nights are not the same without Body of Proof. I can’t WAIT till it comes back on. of course, Dana Delaney is beautiful. I remember her from China Beach. Glad she’s back. she looks fabulous.
Anxiously waiting for the first episode of the third season. ABC simply CANNOT cancel this series!! Truly one of my favorites. Dana Delaney is so cunning and whitty and I just love her!

About time they renewed this (after making the fans wait until the last minute). Love me some Dana Delany. At least there’s one well written and well acted show on television.
No surprise here as well as I knew that was coming back but surprised at the reduced episode order though.
Body of Proof was only renewed for 13 eps last season, but ABC ordered more episodes… If the uptick in ratings for the last three eps of the season can be sustained next season, then expect ABC to order more eps. Bottom line, just because a network orders thirteen eps doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be canceled. The show just needs to retain the uptick in ratings….that’s probably what got it renewed, in any case, I’m HAPPY! I hated this show the first season because Delany was a know it all but the writing has gotten sooo much better this season
I don’t care if anyone doesn’t like this show (Body of Proof) but I and lots of friends LOVE IT!!! and will be extremely disappointed if ABC will discontinue such a good show – they did it once to us when they cancelled the “Brothers and Sisters” but that time we were kind of agreed with ABC that the show went down and seemed so lost, but for the Body of Proof, it’s still working good…pleaase do not cancel it!!!!

BoP will have 42 episodes in THREE seasons (9, 20, 13) – not even normal two season order. Weird. More like a cable order.

The show is a lot better than some, no worse than many, and has possibilites for improvement. However, maybe if ABC would actually show it on a weekly basis, instead of pre-empting it all the time and quit using the time slot to preview other shows/specials it would stand a better chance of finding an audience.

I love Body of Proof I am glad that it has been renewed now please treat it with respect…ABC Television and give it a decent time slot…and don’t pre-empt it for everything…..it has built a loyal following and is well-written and well-acted….let the show go on….

I totally agree. I’m so glad BOP is being renewed. The more episodes I can get the better. The story lines are so interesting and the one that makes it so relevant is the last ones where the daughter finds out she has Type I Diabetes. The way Diabetes is running so rampant in the US it would be great to raise the awareness of Type I and II diabetes.
Great show and cast. Excellent chemistry. Also ask ABC to treat show with respect, if you need to pre-empt, pick a show with “no essence”.

Body of proof is educating, entertaining and the chemistry among the cast is great!!!! Please do not cancel.
I am really happy that it is coming back! I really enjoy this show a lot! So does my Mom. I was holding my breath because I knew it came really close to being cancelled! That would have seriously made me angry as I am getting really tired of losing all the shows I love the best and all the supposed “reality TV” garbage gets renewed ad nauseum each and every year!

Agreed. I waited every week to see Dana Delany and Jeri Ryan. ABC has a habit of cancelling good programs while a lot of stinko programs continue. Personally, if any show gets cancelled it should be “Private Practice.”

I’m glad it was renewed. Television should renew shows based on number of viewers not demographics like they are doing now. BoP had nearly 10 million viewers in both season finales, nut very low in regards to demogrphics. Let viewers decide what to renew. Go Body of Proof dont’ change your time slot or anything.

Body of Proof? Love it. Therefore I surely thought it would be canceled. ABC is getting good at canceling great shows. Oh they forgot to cancel General Hospital. What are you thinking leaving a soap on for us to watch?
ABC’s axe should have lopped off “Gray’s Anatomy” long ago. I started watching it and got bored out of my skull. It was nothing but “young doctors in lust.” The problems this group encounters all the time is totally unbelievable. Talk about running into constant bad luck. At least “House” had some believability to it even though I doubt that a doctor like House could ever exist.
Great show. Glad it’s renewed. My only sorrow is they killed off the character Dani. I thought she was super hot.
I love this show and hated the way the season ended with the cliffhanger ending. I want to see what happened to Peter! Did he die or not??? This is driving me nuts! When will it be back???
