After resurrecting her career with “Bad Teacher” Diaz is making right choices with movie roles. First meaty supporting role in heavy drama and now leading role in (romantic) comedy. Good for her. Cannot wait to see her in “Gambit”. Heard lots of good stuff about the movie.
…follows a down on her luck real estate agent who gets accidentally caught up in a Mexican drug war”.
Knight and Day 2: South of the Border?
Didn’t she recently do an action comedy with Cruise that flopped? And didn’t This Means War and One For The Money and The Bounty Hunter also flop? If only we could find the pattern.
@Stringer – Knight & Day made over $260million worldwide.. I wouldn’t say that is a flop.
Knight and Day wasn’t a flop, but it’s doubtful even the studio’s lowball estimates had it topping out at sixty-five mil in North America. And this new one sounds terrible to me, but I still love Cameron Diaz.
That scene between her and Benicio in the elevator in Fear and Loathing was the first thing I thought of when I read the casting.
That drug war is funny stuff. I think somewhere around 50,000 people have died over the past decade or so. There’s a story today about 18 headless bodies found in a tourist town. A laugh riot.
Really, disgusting. “It’s got four large bedrooms, as you can see a sumptuous living room, an open California ktchen and, and…what are all these bodies doing floating in the pool?!” Yeah, a real riot.
Hasn’t everyone pictured her playing a real estate agent?
