EXCLUSIVE: Cole Hauser has landed a pivotal supporting role in A Good Day To Die Hard, the fifth installment of the 20th Century Fox series that began with the 1988 action classic Die Hard, which hatched Bruce Willis’ indestructible John McClane character. John Moore is directing, with Jai Courtney playing McClane’s son and the plot set in Russia. Hauser will play a villain named Collins. It is the third time Hauser has been in a film with Willis; they previously worked together in Tears Of The Sun and Hart’s War. Hauser’s repped by APA.

Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break) has been cast as well and has been seen in set photos – surprised Fox hasn’t officially announced him as well.
I like Bruce Willis and the Die Hard franchise.
Maybe, as this is the fifth in the series, this film might be a good day for John McClane to die…just saying?
wtf is with the casting choices in this movie?
They could have made this work and it’s like they are purposefully choosing to go in the opposite direction… Yippie Ki…sigh..
At Willis’ age, I think a more appropriate title would be “Die Limp”. Or maybe go for more product placement with something like “Die Hard on Viagra”.
Cole Hauser is the man. Stoked for him to land this part.
Make this film R-rated. It needs to be consistent to the first 3 Die Hard films.
What is up with all the hate? All Die Hard movies kicked ass. Awesome for Cole, he should be working more.
Sorry, the fourth one sucked; wayyyy too extreme (even by DH standards) and far less enjoyable with PG-13 language.
@chicago, yes, the fourth one was terrible.
Love Cole though so I am hopeful on this one.
Wasn’t Noam Murro attached to direct? What happened there?
He opted to take on the “300″ prequel instead.
I still maintain that F. Gary Grey should be directing this. His style would bring the prefect tone and feel for a Die Hard film.
A Feb release might suggest they are going back to a snow like setting which attracted a lot of fans.
Number 4, and to an extent, number 3, lost that claustrophobic atmosphere that drew people to the franchise. Hopefully some of these elements can be provided in a modern day setting.
