The Daytime Emmy Awards are headed to Time Warner’s HLN/Headline News network, according to Broadcasting & Cable. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences also hopes to secure AOL as the awards show’s social media parter. Nominations for the Daytime Emmys had been expected to be announced Friday but have been delayed until Wednesday May 9 to give NATAS time to wrap up those deals. With the cancellation of multiple network soap operas such as All My Children, One Life To Live and As The World Turns, the telecast has lost some of its celebrity luster. The last two telecasts have been on CBS but were produced by Associated Television International, which leased the airtime and sold ads and arranged produce placement deals. ATI and NATAS have been unable to come to terms this year and the major networks declined to air the telecast, so the organization has been working to come up with a new arrangement

Daytime Emmys: completely irrelevant.
This award show hasn’t been relevant in several years time and for them to head to HLN wreaks of desperation for any kind of eyeballs. Who’s going to host it…Nancy Grace? How about doing away with this and several other awards shows which are turning into jokes right now.
We all know the emmys are a joke. The people who actually watch the shows know what actors deserve the award. They bring it every day, and are not shaking their heads when certain actors win?
What I want to know is exactly what the dates of the shows are these for? Ands who nominated most of them.
A couple of them show up,but the most over rated are on every day,and never deliver. Some get a chance three times a month, and they deserve it.
will I watch I doubt it.Last years show the commercial for come to Vegas showed me .Don’t waste my time. These are for daytime.
