20th Century Fox has acquired Dan Ewen’s spec Dear Satan for the Farrelly brothers and Conundrum Entertainment to produce. The tale follows a 7-year old girl who accidentally misspells “Santa” in her letter to the North Pole and instead invites Satan to bring her a toy for Christmas. Ewen’s body-switch comedy Opposites Attract is set up at Bold Films with Kyle Newman directing. The scribe is currently writing the re-boot of Yash Rash Films’ Bollywood pic Bunty Aur Babli, and his family comedy Playing With Fire is being produced by Todd Garner and Sean Robins at Broken Road Productions. Ewen is repped by APA and manager Christopher Pratt.

That sounds great! Consider the first ticket sold!
Dan is hilarious. Can’t wait to check out the laughs from Hell.
Well deserved!! Dan is hysterical!!
And this concept sounds great!!
THAT sounds funny! Best logline for a comedy I’ve heard in a while. Congrats.
Great idea!
Wow. Finally a genuinely smart and funny idea over at Fox. This is the perfect vehicle for the Farrelly’s to tackle. Looking forward to seeing this one.
What toy does she get from Satan? A Raytheon drone?
Me likey. Me likey a-lot.
This was already seen in The Last Boy Scout. Bruce’s daughter wrote a letter to Satan Clause and she got her wish a crazy action adventure.
Her gift from Satan is a ‘body-switching comedy’… Because those are Hell on Earth. Just say No to body-switching movies, kids.
