UPDATE: Firefighters contained the blaze to one building in the center of the 30-acre Southwest Atlanta complex owned by the TV/film maker Tyler Perry (who was there) and are investigating the cause. No injuries were reported.
7:30 PM: At least one building in filmmaker Tyler Perry’s studio complex in Atlanta is on fire, according to the AP. There are no immediate reports of injuries. The studio’s website says it includes a 200,000-square-foot studio, five sound stages and a 400-seat theater in southwest Atlanta. The prolific Perry has numerous film and TV projects in development, including such features as Madea’s Witness Protection (in which he stars, writes, directs and produces) and The Marriage Counselor, starring Kim Kardashian. TBS has ordered additional episodes of his sitcom For Better Or Worse. Perry produces his projects at his Atlanta studio, so it’s unclear how, or if, the fire might impact his productions.

I’m not a hater , but that was pretty funny. Seriously, I pray everyone’s alright. Everything else is material items.
My office or home wouldn’t be on fire because my company has no problem paying union rates. I’m not a multi-millionaire making his money on the backs of underlings being paid slave-wages (and no, that’s not a racial motivated statement in any way, it’s just about the facts).
Yeah, Tyler should hire incompetant union workers at overly inflated salaries to sit on their ass all day because he can’t fire them because they are protected by the union.

I think it’s a shame that so many people have posted so many negative comments. This mas has worked his ass off to get where he is. No one gave him a handout and if you’re sitting there spiteful because he’s not giving you one then maybe you need to take a look at the mirror and figure out what you’re not doing. It’s his company and the beauty of having your own company is being able to make decisions as to your employees. As an black woman I am proud of who he is and what he has accomplished, and truly am saddened at how small people can be.
My dad was a hard core union man in the 50s and 60s when unions were for the worker. It seems they are more about self perpetuation now days. By the way unions were the reason many minorities could not get work in the trades for a long time…….just saying.
