We loved the initial Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter trailer, which first showed off director Timur Bekmambetov’s take on Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel. Graham-Smith wrote the screenplay with Simon Kinberg, and the 20th Century Fox film is being released June 22. This restricted trailer ups the gore, and thoughts of what that ax could do to our Tax Code.

This movie is going to suck.
i thought the book was going to suck as well, i was delighted in my error. the film could easily fail to capture the heart of the book, but i wouldn’t write it off so easily.
OH HELL YES! I want an axe with a shotgun it! Finally a president I can stand behind!
Why????
simply awesome.
Well, that should kill the vampire genre for a while
ugh
Absolutely horrific — and not in a good way.
Why isn’t THIS also being delayed into 2013? lol
Looks like a mindless fun time at the movies. Count me in!
Such a fan of Seth. This is going to be great
I think this looks fucking epic. Super excited. Most likely not a “great” movie, but it looks fun.
Vampires and Abraham Lincoln? Some ideas are so out there and so should be rejected outright, but not in Hollywood. Ed Wood lives!!
Can something be offensive, pointless and stupid — AND COOL — at the same time?
Yes! And that’s what makes this so great. There were a thousand ways for them to f*ck this up, but the seem to have found the 1001st way, that works.
I predict this will be the sleeper hit of the summer (as opposed to the big-name obvious superhero hits).
No.
Looks awesome!
It looks good. and it is different. So does that mean that everyone will be making civil war vampire movies now ?
This is amazing. I can’t wait to see how they dramatize all of the cabinet meetings.
I haven’t read the material on which this is based, but can we comfortably say that all the Southern plantation-owing confederate elites are depicted as vampires?
Does that mean that the GOP’s ongoing and wildly successful Southern Strategy is basically Vampire Civil War 2.0? Is Obama the heir to Lincoln’s Vampire Hunter legacy?
No, it means that the vampires won. Lincoln was a Republican.
This premise is so absurd that its beside the point to suggest this is an insult to American history. Who is the expected audience for this kind of debauchery? How did this get a green light?
have you seen the number of americans that know ANYTHING about american history?
This one sucks, gives to much of a Sherlock Holmes feeling in addition using snippets of there score or maybe composer
Looks promising. Except for the bad CG fog. Ya think they could perfect that by now.
sherlock holmes temp music, anyone?
Why does Abraham Lincoln only speak one line in the trailer? That worries me. What are people saying of Walker as an actor? Weird how little they feature the main character in very many closeups in the trailer. Seems like popcorn movie madness, which could be good, or horrible. haha
Walker is an incredible actor. A Juilliard Grad, he was unbelievable in last season’s Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson on Broadway. He’s one of the reasons I’m looking forward to this.
This feels like Snakes on a Plane bad.
Beyond moronic. If this is the only way these people can manage to make a movie, it would be better if they would stop making movies.
Ludicrous. Hopefully this movie will emancipate all responsible parties from their jobs.
Why? Just why is he a vampire? He wasn’t, right? Or did I miss something in second grade history class?
The book was great hope thr movie is too
