Hello Terrance Malick. Thank you for everything I ever learned from you!
No, this actually looks like it has a story, unlike the beautifully filmed, well-acted, but agonizing to sit-thru TREE OF LIFE which lacked narrative.
Wow, this looks good.
Kudos filmmakers and Fox Searchlight for what looks like an amazing and original pic. Can’t wait to see this!!!
Benh Zeitilin: great writer, director and composer. I can’t wait to see this
Yes, looks like Tree of Life crossed with Where the Wild things are. Damn it looks good. Gotta see this. Just made me smile ear to ear.
I can’t wait!
YES!!!
Finally!!!
This is what movie making is all about. Telling the story!
And a great one at that!
Right on!
Ugh, another twenty-something film student shamelessly aping Malick. The portentous, pseudo mystical children’s voiceovers…sorry not buying it. I’m not interested in twenty-something film students’ mystical and pseudo-profound musings put in the mouths of small children. Learn to tell an economical story first, then wow us with your profundity after you’ve lived a little. Remember Malick started with a compelling crime drama, he didn’t start with TREE OF LIFE.
Twenty bucks says this guy is directing soulless stoner comedies in ten years, a la David Green.
