Compared to Batman and Promethus, this looks like Green Lantern territory.
Agreed.
Yes! That looks kick ass!
That actually looks really good. For some reason, I still think Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker is more relatable and sympathetic, though.
they got someone who SOUNDS like Tobey……
when the narration first started I was like huh?? Tobey….
is that you??
Hope they plugged up some of those massive plot holes.
sorry not gonna download itunes to view a trailer
Yeah, probably wouldn’t be compatible with your Commodore 64 anyway.
CGI looks pretty good, but theirs hardly anything hot about this trailer. The trailers for the previous Spidey films have been awesome and got me excited to see the movies. For this film, I’ve yet to see a good trailer that gets me excited. Why reboot Sony?
Want ever be as good as the first.
Looks great! I thought they’d have a hard time not just putting out a rehash of the previous movies, but this looks like it will stand on it’s own. Can’t wait.
Agreed – won’t be as good as the first with McGuire and Dunst.
Should have waited 10 more years for a remake. Not 2.
There’s a Spiderman movie this year?
That’s some crappy CGI in that trailer. Thought it would be better.
Looks like a lot fun. Humor is there and the VFX look great! Seems like a good change of pace from the Raimi films.
The powers that be have proven me wrong, I’m now looking forward to seeing this.
Sorry but those graphics look cheap and unfinished. Besides my comic book movie fix will be filled by the Avengers and Dark Knight Rises this summer. I’ll wait till this is in Red Box.
Yeah, sure you will.
Toby Maquire was a very bad pick for the previous spiderman series, this new guy kicks ass,
still meh
That sure looks like the best version of Spider-Man that’s been made so far. Like the costume, he looks more like Peter Parker than Tobey, and it feels like it’s been influenced by its July release next to the Dark Knight in a good way. Others may disagree.
First the horrible casting choice for John Carter and now this. 2012 will be remembered as some of the worst casting blunders of the decade.
Agreed.
Yeah. I feel like both Andrew and Emma were miscast. It looked good on the paper. But when you see it live it’s just bad. Andrew’s Peter Parker is just boring and empty. And he always gives those stupid boring speeches that no one cares about. Emma looks good in comedy but she is weak in serious roles. She was boring in Help and she is uninteresting to watch here.
Spider Man might be this summers Green Lantern. It might open to some 40-50 millions and then some 120 millions overall. Which is small for this kind of blockbuster.
this was a no-lose situation for sony, but creatively speaking… this looks bad. the story is almost so simple it’s confusing, visual effects look fake
I think this is the best Spiderman Trailer so far. Compared to the Trailer with the Spiderman, POV crawling up the walls, which looked very fake, and “video-game-like”, this one is much better. Anyone over 16 might not be too excited to watch, which does make it fall into the Green Lantern area.
Looks great much better than the 3rd one. I’m pleasantly surprised by Webb’s direction. The effects are excellent but I don’t like Garfield he’s way too old. Logan Lerman would have been the perfect Peter Parker. They miscast on this and now they’re stuck with Garfield.
The things that look good is that Gwen Stacy is his first true love and in this movie and that the lizard shows up and is a great choice for the reboot (which the previous movies hinted at). The things that look bad is the CGI and the conspiracy behind his parents that replaces his accidental spider bite origin. Maybe they will fix the CGI by the release.
The Avengers = taking my entire family to see in the movie theater
Prometheus = going to see by myself in the movie theater
Dark Knight Rises = will watch at home on PPV
Spiderman = saw it 10 years ago
I don’t really care about the “origins” or “myth” of Spiderman’s parents. I want to see Spiderman do spider shit.
It looks good…even though the costume isn’t as good as the Raimi one. This guy is a better Peter Parker though…never liked Tobey in the role. I just hope they don’t screw with the comic mythology…plenty of storylines there without re-writing the character’s history. The Lizard is a cool villain. Heck, after the disaster that was Spider-Man 3, as long as they don’t have Harry Osborne riding around on a flying snowboard, it’ll be an improvement.
I’m glad they re-booted Spider Man, because this one looks much better and actually wants me to go see it. The previous SM were a bore and the last one just a struggle to watch. Embrace it ney-sayers and complainers – eventally all of you will go see it in the theater, you’ll be too curious to see what is it everyone talking about. As for the simple story – have you seen the avengers yet? I have, and still liked it regardless of the oversimplified storyline
lol, I meant it made me want to go see it
