Horatio Caine is taking off his shades for good– CBS just confirmed that indeed, CSI: Miami will not be back next season. This is the first series from the CSI franchise to get off the air. Despite strong international sales and a fresh off-network syndication deal with AMC that would’ve covered an 11th season, CSI: Miami was the more expensive of the two spinoffs. Here is a statement from the network:
“CSI: Miami” leaves an amazing television legacy – a signature look and style, global popularity and as a key player in CBS’s rise to the top over the past decade. We thank all the producers – led by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Ann Donahue — and its talented cast, led by David Caruso, for 10 outstanding seasons. Viewers around the world will continue to enjoy rebroadcasts of “CSI: Miami” in syndication and on key digital platforms for many years to come.”

Thank Goodness. That show has stunk since Day 1. Finally Caruso is back OFF screens where he belongs.
Wow, this to me is awful news as CSI Miami is one of my favorite shows. So sorry to see it end. But seems to happen to all the really good shows.
This is so sad it is the best CSI ever. I hope something more exciting will be replacing the show on Sundays, this sucks!
I so can’t believe you said that. Do you prefer “voyeurism” shows? Nothing left to watch. It all sucks!
i been pretty mad about this some of them new shows dont fit this 70 year old person csi miami was my best show to watch
You absolutely have no heart for the BEST tv show on the planet! I cant believe you said that. I have a personal connection to it and for you to say that affends me. But its ok, maybe your favorite tv show will end someday too!
Any offical news on CSI NY, even if given the recent articles, it looks pretty sure
I haven’t watched Miami in years, but they should have given it a few episodes to wrap up…especially considering everything the franchise has done for them over the last 12 years.
The show has been getting long in the tooth. It doesn’t have the spark that it once had. Better to go out on a winning streak than fading away into oblivian. RIP
it didnt get a end but a cliffhanger thats why people are upset over it being canceled
Thank God, ‘CSI: Miami’ has been sucking the past 4-5 seasons! I hope they retool ‘CSI: NY’, but with it’s low ratings, it’ll be canceled at this time next year.
There is a dark hot place where you and that comment can dwell. CSI Miami is/was the best show on TV. CBS SUCKS.
Orange is a signature look and style? I’m weary of shows forcing an unnatural color palette into every scene. This show was one of the worst offenders.
100% agree. and dont forget the stupid ‘picture in picture’ mode in some scenes.
soo true its like he blinded me!!! soo long horatio u were to old for the part anyway and those stupid lines ewe!!!
“I think Hollywood is finally ready…” (puts on sunglasses) “For me to relaunch my feature career”
I did an episode of MIAMI.
Amazing crew. Everyone was incredible. Emily Proctor and Adama Rodriguez are two of the nicest people I’ve ever met…actor or non actor. Wardrobe, Hair/Make-up, Sound…all very lovely people. Nan Dutton, Eddie, and Lily in casting are great at their job and also incredibly nice people.
Continued success to all on other fronts.
gary sinise must be fired and replaced by david caruso
caruso as mac would just be stupid also seeing they live in the same universe in both the csi versions and why would they replace him, gary is a fantastic actor thats been acting for decades, csi ny wasnt his first time on tv ya know
Heck ya!!! I agree…….I loveee David Caruso!!!
In Miami, pastels are big. You should get out more often.
While peolpe want to throw darts at Caruso remember there was 150 crew members that lost there jobs today and they are some of the best in hollywood
Yes that is true…however not many casts/crews get a solid 10 year gig like this was! I too however am of the school of thought that such long running series should all get a FINALE episode!
That is always a sad thing, but if you are looking for stability in the entertainment industry, you should have never gotten into it in the first place. CSI: Miami had a good run.
Exactly! I feel for everyone on the staff
I don’t…its the nature of the business. If you want job stability, you are in the wrong industry. And there are now plenty of new tv shows out there looking for all sorts of people. They’ll be fine.
How the hell can you not feel for someone who just lost a job? Doesn’t matter whether the profession is rock solid or as unstable as the San Andreas fault, have some compassion!
Good luck to everyone on the show!
very true i wish them all good luck in the future!!!
This sucks! I just hope that all the actors and the staff get some of the proceeds from future sales of this show.
A question: How much money do TV studios make off international sales for supposed global hits like HOUSE and CSI: MIAMI? I guess not enough to off-set the increased expenses of an aging series. Fox didn’t own HOUSE, but CBS owns a big chunk of the CSI franchise. They have the profit motive, just not enough actual profit.
thats not a fair thing to do i loved csi miami i hardly wachted csi ny its pathetic
I think CBS has made a huge mistake, I always watch CSIMiami, to me its the best of all three of them, I really enjoy it, the vegas CSI hasn’t been the same in years and I never watch CSI NY, I think that they will be sorry for that decision, lets hope somebody else might pick it up on another network, that way all those folks won’t loose their jobs…
I agree! Csi Miami was seriously a very good series! I always looked forward to watching it! CBS shame on you really! Now what will all of those actors and actresses do? It didn’t even get a series finale? Hope it can get on another network.
I gave up on CSI:Miami a couple of years ago, about the same time I became lactose intolerant-way too much cheese for me………
Could care less what CBS does Thay do not have good programs anyways.
Wow…
So, you actually could care less than you already do? Impressive.
so sad, goes to show you no matter how many great seasons in and how much money a show gives a network they still don’t need to give you a fitting ending. If this isn’t the worst decision in network history i don’t know what is. Horrible!
CSI Miami has been one my favourite TV series of all life, and it’s all the same to me say it openly. I like Horatio Caine with his sunglasses, as well as Calleigh, Eric, Ryan, Natalia and the rest of the cast. I will miss the series, I love it anyway. I’m sad because it’s over, but I’m happy because I could live it. For me, a great TV show. So long, Horatio Caine…
I love Csi: Miami out of all of the CSI’s. I liked Harito Cain Adam Rodriguez is drop dead gorgeous. I liked the show period. I can’t belive this is it for CSI: Miami. I looked forward to watching this show. I have been watching this show since it began and to see them go after all these years is horrible. Plus it is upsetting that CBS did not give it a series finale to let use know the show is ending. All these other stupid reality, comedy, citcoms and all that crap they need to take them off air. They are not worth watching. Unlike show’s like the CSI shows. I watch them all and CSI: Miami is my favorite, CSI: New York my second choice and then CSI. Let CBS keep putting on stupid stuff and there rating will fall. I want feel sorry for them at all when that happens.Good-bye David Caruso, Adam Rodriguez, Emily Proctor and the rest of the CSI: Miami team I will miss you so very much. Hope to see some of you on other shows. CBS Could be nice and let CSI: Miami keep running or atleast give it a proper farewell with a series finale. I prefer the show keep’s going on.Bye CSI: Miami.
Finally. No more ridiculous overacting from Caruso. I stopped watching it years ago because I couldn’t handle his overacting anymore. He looks so stupid with his poses.
I had a very personal connection to csi miami since 2003 & I just recently lost my dad & now csi miami is canceled?! This is BS!!! This is too much heartache for me. I love jonathan togo with every fiber of my being. Im sooo angry right now im speechless! Im done, I cant take it anymore. That’s it Im done!
I haven’t watched CSI Miami since 2007 or so. Just got boring. David Caruso was cool at first when he always put on his sunglasses and hands on his hips, but let me tell u that routine got old really fast. He completely over acts too. Acts like he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. He is without a doubt the worst actor in the world.
Thanks to the great cast and crew for ten years of excellent shows. Godspeed to David Caruso and his family who endured several of those years being stalked by a deranged, Austrian woman who was captured and sentenced in 2009. For more info, see The Stalker Chronicles.
This show may not have been good, but it made for great material for parody, both for other shows (Burn Notice did a nice takeoff) and for the web (comixed, mainly).
Goodbye CSI Miami! Somewhere in Unintentional Comedy Heaven someone is taking off and putting on their sunglasses in an overly dramatic way and saying a cheesy line.
Sam Axe’s impression was spot on. Only Bruce Campbell could pull that off.
All I can say is that CBS was wrong to cancel a great show like CSI Miami it will be greatly missed in the fall.
