SHERMAN OAKS, Calif., May 21, 2012 – ITV plc, the global media company, announced today that it has appointed Bryan Bowles as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development for ITV Studios America.

Bowles joins ITV as the company steps up its drive to rebalance the business and grow its production base both in the UK and internationally. He will be working with Paul Buccieri, Managing Director ITV Studios International, based at ITV Studios America headquarters in Sherman Oaks, and will report to Tom Betts, Executive Vice President, Corporate Development, ITV plc.

Buccieri, also President and CEO ITV Studios America, said: “A major priority for ITV’s Transformation Plan is to expand our international production business in key countries including the US. We’ve been working hard over the last few years to establish ITV Studios America as one of the largest international producers for the US market and it’s great to have Bryan joining us as we continue to invest in our creative and production capability and accelerate our global growth.”

Bowles added “I am excited to be joining the world class team at ITV. This is a unique time to invest and focus in the build-out of a globally focused production business.”

Bowles joins ITV Studios America from Sony Corporation of America, where most recently he was Vice President, Corporate Development and M&A, based in New York. In that position, he was a leading member of the corporate development team, which is responsible for the overall strategic direction of Sony’s North American assets. Bowles was integrally involved in joint ventures such as Discovery and Imax’s launch of a 3D channel in 2011 and Sony’s return to Times Square, and he was also head of the project team for ‘Hancock,” the first time a company delivered a movie directly to television over the IP network, by-passing traditional cable and satellite delivery.
