  • Yes, you are correct. He’ll probably be in some kind of support for Tony Stark, and/or is probably being set up for the Avengers 2, like Jeremy Renner/Hawkeye was in Thor.

  • The Mandarin is also a racist caricature, so either way, they’re screwed. I’m amazed they’re going through with it. Probably will de-emphasize the Chinese-ness of the character w/Kingsley’s casting, and with the overall approach.

    And as half-Indian, Kingsley does count as “Asian.” His real name is Krishna Bhanji (although by now his stage name of Ben Kingsley might be his legal one.)
