Mick Jagger has been tapped to host the season finale of Saturday Night Live on May 19. It will be the iconic Rolling Stones frontman’s first time as host and third appearance as musical guest. On Wednesday, SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels didn’t announce a finale host during a conference call, with the two lead-up shows featuring New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning (May 5) and Will Ferrell (May 12).

Booooooooring!
Gotta agree. I’m a 48 year-old Stones fan but even most of MY contemporaries thought they were yesterday’s news when I was young. Look for this to be one of the lower rated SNLs in years.
It’s certainly WEIRD, and it could be a disaster (or be amazing), and might not be to your taste, but the odd choice DEFINITELY isn’t “boring!”
The Stones are true, pure rock’n'roll’n'rythym’n'blues and have never been boring. They still rock. What do you listen to? Justin Bieber? Micheal Jackson? Synthesized auto-tuned pop crap?
Will he have the moves like Adam Levine?
Maybe The Stones will play!!! It is their 50th anniversary.
I hoped that the headline was Series Finale.
The Keith Richards impression Mick did while Mike Myers was doing his Mick Jagger impression is one of the all-time great SNL bits. Although I doubt Mike Myers returns – would love to see Mick do Keith once again.
Just looking at that picture of Jagger, I’m seeing comic potential in him playing the lead singer of the California Raisins.
Who will be backing him up? Stones? A team of EMTs?
Bring all the Stones on stage and let this really be something to see!!!
