President Obama’s visit to The View on Tuesday gave the show a 15-month ratings high. His appearance drew a 5/15, attracting 4.7 million viewers. It was his fourth visit to the ABC morning talk show and the first of his re-election campaign. Today, Barbara Walters announced that the show has extended an invitation to presumed Republication nominee Mitt Romney to appear; he has appeared previously.

Obama spoke about topics like Wall Street reform and his recently announced support for gay marriage. The president also took a Pop Culture quiz from Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd. An admitted fan of Showtime’s Homeland and AMC’s Mad Men, Obama was up to speed on Kim Kardashian, who he mentioned during his routine at this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and Modern Family. Announcing he’s seen the movie, the president could name the members of The Avengers but he didn’t know about the erotic best-seller Fifty Shades Of Grey. Here’s a clip from the show:
Deadline's Dominic Patten - tip him here.

So, what are five gainfully employed, multimillionaires going to ask Obama about? Kim Kardashian and erotic novels, apparently. It’s too bad that they didn’t ask Obama about his budget – a budget that failed to get SINGLE VOTE in either the House or the Senate.
That’s because the House and Senate are full of right-wing economic terrorists who would rather hold America hostage and see the country fail than support their President.
Push your typical, half-baked, tea bagger nonsense somewhere else. Only smart people read Deadline.
You’re so right
Showtime’s Homeland*
Did they show Joy giving him a lap dance or did they cut that? When McCain was on they slaped him around real good, Mitt should avoid “The Spew”
Mitt Robme and NoBama both Suck. America is screwed.
Too bad Obama hasn’t been able to give a “boost” to the COUNTRY in the past 3 1/2 years. I’d LOVE to see him become a permanent host on the show though. It’s about what he’s suited for.
Tell your GOP congressmen to stop trying to block him at every turn and maybe he could get more done. The Republicans have been filibustering and shooting down every idea that the Democrats have had for the last 3 years so that might explain why things haven’t been recovering as quickly as they could.
I guess we should tell our Democrat Senators to do the same, seeing as not a single one of them voted for his budget. But that couldn’t possibly say anything about his economics; no, his own party is clearly the problem as well. Stupid representative republics and their devisions of power – we should just make him a king, and all our problems would be solved!
So, um, who’s running the country while Barry’s off doing all these TV shows and attending all these fundraisers (not to mention when he’s either on vacation or playing golf)?
Anyone else remember the good old days when the president of the United States didn’t sully the office by reducing himself to the equivalent of Paris Hilton?
Well said Dorothy… but remember all Presidents and politicians are merely actors! JFK spoke his mind and was doing good, and look where that got him.
If they want a real show, Ron Paul or Gary Johnson should be given the courtesy.
Of course, the the view would be an informative program rather than a self-congratulatory fluffer designed to appease liberals of themselves.
Meanwhile… while the “Prez” the Commander-In-Chief, the so-called leader of the “free” world, schmoozes and clowns around – the wholesale killing of civillians from drones and CIA/NATO fronts continues, the banksters are in full gear raping our savings and homes… unemployment and child poverty at record levels, etc., etc… but Obama always has time for this!
All Presidents and politicians are merely actors, so maybe he does belong on THE VIEW!
Looks like someone is having a good ole time.

To all those who have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all. We don’t always need to see negatives, full of hatred on these sites. I love him. So if you nothing nice to say about any person, just keep it shut. Nobody needs your nasty remarks and hateful remarks about anyone including POTUS. He is handsome, he is nice, he is extremely intelligent and compassionate, what else need I say; seems like he is loving person to boot. So, again, just button it.
