Despite primetime TV usage being down 4.4% from last Thursday, many series were up or flat last night. CBS led the charge with all of its series in positive territory. The Big Bang Theory (4.6/15) was up 15% from last week’s fast national to once again rank as the top program of the night in adults 18-49. (Like last Thursday, it will likely be adjusted up again). Rules Of Engagement (2.7/8) was up 8%. Person Of Interest (2.5/7) was up a tenth while The Mentalist (2.4/7) was up 14% from its fast national last Thursday (9% from the final). CBS won the night in total viewers and adults 18-49.
ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy (3.2/9) and Scandal (2.1/8) matched their fast national ratings from last week when Grey’s was adjusted up and Scandal down in the finals. But at 8 PM, Missing (1.1/4) dropped 15% to a new series low. It was a see-saw night for NBC. Community (1.4/4) was flat with last week, while 30 Rock (1.4/4) was down 13% after a small uptick for its live episode last week. The Office (2.3/4) was up 10%, Parks And Recreation (1.7/5) up 6% while Awake (0.7/2) was down 13% to a new series low. Fox’s American Idol result show (3.9/12) was even with its fast national last week, while Touch (2.1/6) bounced back after several weeks of decline, up 11%, just in time for Fox’s decision-making this and next week whether to renew the midseason drama. The CW’s Vampire Diaries was even with last week, and The Secret Circle was up by a tenth.
