Flat continues to be the new up, with most series last night even or down from their last originals. Three weeks before the end of the season, American Idol moved into the top ratings position it has held since its first in-season cycle. Following last night’s Top 5 performance show (4.6/13 in adults 18-49, even with last week’s fast national), Fox’s reality veteran has surpassed NBC’s The Voice, whose average is boosted by its airing after the Super Bowl, to become the No. 1 show of the season in the 18-49 demographic. The two-hour Idol also delivered another Wednesday win for Fox in 18-49 and total viewers.

NBC’s Betty White’s Off Their Rockers (1.3/4) fell off, down 24% from last week to a series low. Another Off Their Rockers original at 8:30 PM did only a little better, 1.4/4. But at 9 PM, low-rated newsmagazine Rock Center With Brian Williams (1.0/3) is on a mini-roll, posting its third consecutive ratings gain, up a tenth from last week and an eight-week high. Law & Order: SVU (1.8/5) was up 6% from last week to post its highest 18-49 rating in 12 weeks. The CW’s Top Model was off a tenth from last week.
CBS’ Survivor (2.5/8) shed another tenth from last week for a new series low. Criminal Minds (3.0/8) was flat with its last original three weeks ago, while CSI (2.3/6) was down a tenth in its return but won the 10 PM hour.
ABC’s The Middle (2.0/7) was down a tenth from its last original three weeks ago for a season low, Suburgatory was flat with its last new episode two weeks ago, while Modern Family (4.0/11) matched the fast national for its most recent original two weeks ago. With a new Modern Family vs. a repeat last week, new comedy Don’t Trust The B—- In Apt. 23 (2.4/6) jumped 20% week-to-week. Compared with the last time it had an original Modern Family lead-in, it was down two tenths. Revenge (2.1/6) was flat with last week.

Betty White’s Off Their Rockers has to be one of the worst hidden camera shows on television. It’s waaaaay over produced and the pranks are terribly unfunny. They should take heed from the Canadian show, Just For Laughs.
I think the Betty White show is produced very well. It doesn’t look or feel cheaply made and I think it’s very funny… and a nice change from the typical crap on TV.
Cougar Town after Modern Family doesnt seem so bad now does it ABC?
Thanx for the numbers Nellie. I’m glad the bitch on Abc went up. Also, how long can Nbc continue airing Betty White’s show? Nbc must be the ones off their rockers. Another Nbc show with terrible numbers. I know they might not have anything to replace it with at the moment. It is really a shame what has become of this once dominant network. Seems the peacock is no longer relevant to anyone anymore. Very depressing.
Cougar town is horribly written and IMHO I think it’s ruined coxs career
I believe Betty White’s stroke of luck is about to come to an end as now it’s nothing more than over-exposure of her on NBC and other formats. Just doing shows like this is just hurting her reputation right now. Just call it a career already Betty. Rock Center is about to be rock-bottomed as that show has never had consistency before, but what NBC show has? NBC is awful!!
This show might have been more of a hit had it not been for all the sex related skits.
They did not need them….more in the veinof the old “candid camera” would have been much more entertaining – using the”Old Folks”
