EXCLUSIVE: The former WWE star will host the new 10-episode reality competition series Redneck Island, which drops 12 blue-collared contestants into a tropical paradise where they will compete for $100,000. The series, which will debut next month, comes as CMT sigs a development deal with Austin, whose action film credits include The Expendables movies. He also will develop other series with the network via his Broken Skull Ranch Prods shingle. On Redneck Island, he will “oversee a cast of characters who attempt to survive hilarious and unpredictable challenges in unique redneck fashion.” 51 Minds Entertainment produces the series, which will be paired on the schedule with Season 2 of the network’s My Big Redneck Vacation.

This truly has to be confirmation that the Mayans were absolutely correct. Wrestlers have limited credibility to begin with,if the “wrasslin’” didn’t completely ruin his credibility-I’m sure this upcoming program will take care of that.
I probably won’t watch this but this is such a perfect example of catering to your audience…..show should be a hit with the right people.

I believe all of these unnecessary rude comments about steve are uncalled for!! There couldn’t have been a better host for this show! He is truly an amazing person and is awesome at all that he does as well as all of his accomplishments. I would be pleased to work with Steve on any type of show following this one on CMT it was truly a pleasure meeting him. He was amazing in wrestling and even more awesome in reality. There is a lot of people who look up to steve and for all the negative commenting Haha yall have nothing better to do than be jealous of someone who has accomplished so much so good luck with that as for Steve you’re totally someone to admire and if you ever do another show I would be glad to join you!!!
I’m a red neck, and love the show!! I find it hard to belive that the rest of the world couldn’t enjoy a veiwing program such as this…(just shows how closed minded u are) wish u would pick me, but u don’t do ex-cons.
