So what’s this about again?
Cannot imagine how this film will be two hours long. This trailer took a lifetime to watch. I want the time back.
I want to see this so badly, great trailer!
wow – looks interesting. not like all the other crap being thrown out there. im down.
Excellent. If even half the film is Jeremy Irons narrating, I’m in. Best voice ever.
Looks great! Word.
Very middlebrow.
How did that cast sign up to this? So middle of the road and completely boring. Thought CBS Films was trying to improve its cache.
I kept waiting for John Turturro to show up and say, in a hick accent, “You stole my story.”
I’m usually an optimist and love Irons and Copper, but this looks like dreck.
I don’t know, it looks different from the other stuff CBS has released – could turn out to be a sleeper.
The script was inane and pretentious. But, hey, it has a puzzlingly impressive cast!
I saw this movie at Sundance, and it is outstanding. It is a romantic drama, intelligent, well written, with terrific performances, great cinematography, etc. This is a movie that is definitely worth seeing. It will be an Oscar winner!
This actually looks surprisingly good – I wasn’t interested but now I’m in. Love that Zoe.
Zoe Saldana and Olivia Wilde have done an amazing job of substituting being good looking for any kind of acting ability. If they’re both in this film it must be terrible.
It’s why there will always be movies…even if this turns out to be just okay, (I think it LOOKS great, BTW), it’s why we stay in the business.
Why cooper in the lead?…& why must it be interracial?…looks like zero “cooper.saldana” chemistry…why not just update french lieutenant’s woman by re-teaming irons.streep? Trailer appears to have a premise lifted directly from fowles’ novel.pinter’s script…non?
I have heard too many conflicting reviews, as usual, about this film. Winning an Oscar. I don’t know. The trailer is a dud, and the story line is too familiar. I absolutely hate Zoe Saladana, especially how she talks down to her community. She so desperately wants to be mainstream, like on the cover of People or Glamour. So she frustrates me and I don’t want to support her. Bradley I think, I can see actually accepting an Academy Award. He is improving with his characters. Still I hate romances. Sundance critics said the script was old and being rewritten over and over throughout 12 years, I guess it’s stale. Have to wait and see. The trailer seemed dry and uninteresting. Still can’t take away that I hate that talent-less Zoe Saldana so much.
As a black woman, I think this might be the dumbest comment I’ve ever read on deadline, and that’s really saying something.
Saldana ‘talks down to her community’ ?!? what does that mean?
Ignorance . . . . .
This looks like a solid, touching movie. Pure and simple.
