EXCLUSIVE: Eli Craig has been set to rewrite and direct Your Bridesmaid’s A Bitch, a comedy that Circle of Confusion is producing with David Ellison’s Skydance. Skydance will finance the film. The comedy revolves around a groomsman who faces off against a bridesmaid who is an ex-girlfriend. The script was originally written by Brian Duffield.
Craig made his feature directing debut on Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil, which he wrote with Morgan Jurgenson. He’s repped by CAA and managed by Stephanie Davis at Wet Dog Entertainment.

Excited for this- Tucker & Dale was hilarious and the version of the “Your Bridesmaids” script I read was excellent if just a little saggy. Hopefully, if he tightens the structure in the re-write, this film will turn out well
Bridesmaid script was terrible. The protagonist’s “goal” is to “survive” a wedding at which his ex is a bridesmaid. In other words, there is no real goal. Boring and talky tripe.

This is such an amazing script, I honestly can’t believe it took this long to get going – this WILL be a huge rom com for the 20-something generation. Duffield is incredible! He’s going to blow up now, as he rightfully should.

Anyone who doesn’t know about Brian Duffield is an idiot, the guy is so talented. I agree with above completely. I haven’t read anything in the last two years that even touches Duffield’s unique style. He’s the man. Such a great, fresh, new voice.
