CBS’ Two And A Half Men has been officially renewed for next season, the veteran comedy’s tenth, after the network has completed a new license fee agreement with series producer Warner Bros. TV. It came after the network closed new one-year deals with stars Ashton Kutcher, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones. CBS’ renewal announcement acknowledges the change at the helm of 2.5 Men for next season, with co-creator/executive producer Lee Aronsohn stepping down. Along with co-creator/showrunner Chuck Lorre, the comedy will be co-run next season by executive producers Don Reo and Jim Patterson. Another Men executive producer, Eddie Gorodetsky, will continue in its dual capacity as executive producer on Two And A Half Men and consulting producer on one of Lorre’s other two CBS comedy series, The Big Bang Theory. Aronsohn will serve as an executive consultant.
In its current ninth season, the first with Kutcher as star, 2.5 Men has averaged 15 million viewers and a 5.2/13 in adults 18-49 in most current ratings to rank as the No.2 comedy on TV in total viewers and third in 18-49. This is the 19th CBS series renewed for next season and the fifth comedy, alongside How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly and The Big Bang Theory. I agree with all the previous posters on this one. There’s really nothing more to say.
And yet you felt compelled to say something.
What is it about this picture that makes me want to crush each of their fucking heads like watermellons?
I love the show and glad it will be back and hope to see season 11 too
And to no one’s surprise, the sky is still blue.
And the scum has risen to the top of the cesspool.
Yet another season of obvious, smarmy sex jokes from Two and Half Buck Chuck.
Change the title to “Two Men and a Stupid Pot Head Leach that’ll O.D. very soon”, now they’re just milking this to make Chuck Lorre happy.
I agree i am so glad that there is going to be a Season 10 and hope there will be a Season 11 as well i am such a big fan of the show. You Rock Chuck Lorre.
I don’t like how they got rid of all the regulars, and how they turned the Alan character into a pathetic clown.
Didn’t the character of Alan have a job as a chiropractor a few seasons ago? Was there a plot point I missed where he lost all hope of any employment and became a complete dead beat?
1) glad it’s coming back just because i love to watch disasters
2) these horrendous kutcher (not his fault) episodes will be looked at quite more horribly when the show goes off the air (anyone ever see shirley-less episodes of laverne and shirley? or andy griffith with no andy griffith? they are quite the eyesore… yet they got good ratings)
3) they might have avg’d 15 million but started with almost 30 and they are ending with 11
There is really nothing different about the show. Alan Harper has always been a hapless clown. As far as I know, he’s still a chiropractor but with alimony from two former marriages and child support, he’s never had money and has always been a cheapskate and a leech on Charlie.
He just seems more so now because he’s no longer leeching off a relative, but off a new friend.
This show – like a festering assboil – just won’t go away.
Flogging syndication for all it’s worth , I see ! Jon Cryer , Melanie Lynskey and Angus Jones should move on , and get their own Show !
Alan does not pay child support anymore cuz his kid is 18. His first wife remarried so no alimony and he was not married long to second wife to be obligated to pay. He is cheap and things started to go down for him after losing 50000 he took from friends and family. His work is no longer noticed and seems like he lost his practice, also he has 50000 from Walden but wants to live in his house, major plot points are missing from the show. It is unwatchable. Cannot believe it was not cancelled.
No one should have to suffer with another year of this crap! Just pull the plug already the show is just pure garbage.
I quess when ashton kutcher signed on his manhood had to be built up by running around naked in front of everyone. Not very funny. He must need a ego boost.
charlie should be back frm the show to make the ratings remarkable. compare charlie is funnier than ashton, he’s so lame. no sens of humor while charlie is funny, his reaction, action. just pretend that charlie was just dreaming.
