EXCLUSIVE: Veteran Bones writer-producer Carla Kettner has signed an overall deal with Sony Pictures TV. Under the two-year pact, she will join the studio’s new Fox drama series The Mob Doctor as an executive producer and will develop new projects. On Mob Doctor, a fast-paced medical drama starring Jordana Spiro as a brilliant young female cardiothoracic surgeon juggling her promising medical career with her lifelong debt as a doctor to Chicago’s Southside mob, Kettner will serve as an executive producer alongside creators Josh Berman and Rob Wright and director Michael Dinner.
WME-repped Kettner spent the last five years on the Fox dramedy Bones, rising to an executive producer this past season. Mob Doctor reunites her with Berman. Kettner served as co-executive producer/exec producer on Berman’s two previous series for Fox, Killer Instinct and Vanished, and the two also worked together on Bones. Additionally, Kettner co-wrote with Berman an episode of his Lifetime dramedy Drop Dead Diva, which also is produced by Sony TV.
