UPFRONTS 2013: TV Spinoffs’ Almost Perfect Year 
In her first series gig since the end of NBC’s Chuck, Yvonne Strahovski has joined the cast of Showtime’s drama series Dexter for a multi-episode arc in the upcoming seventh season. She will play Hannah McKay, a strong, independent woman with a past that she’s struggled to put behind her. As a turn of events leads Miami Metro Homicide to ask for her help in solving some old cases, Dexter (Michael C. Hall) works with her and begins to wonder if there’s more to this woman than she’s professed. Production on Season 7 began last week for a September 30 premiere. Strahovski is best-known for playing CIA operative Sarah Walker on Chuck. Up next, she co-stars in two films: Guilt Trip opposite Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen; and as the female lead in I, Frankenstein with Aaron Eckhart.

Great news – love Yvonne. She’s an amazing actress and of course a stunningly beautiful woman.
Too bad this will be the first season of Dexter I don’t watch. I’m sorry, but after the last two seasons, I’m just done, and I’m not optimistic about where things were left off last season between major characters.
Yvonne is great though, as well as a nice person, so I’m happy to see her getting roles like this post-Chuck.

Awesome! Chuck was my #1 favorite show that I loved to watch and Dexter was my other favorite show but then somehow it wasn’t interesting and now I going to watch it again because the terrific and wonderful actress, Yvonne Strahovski is in it.

Which would make it a retread of S5 with the boring Julia Stiles. Let’s hope it’s more complex than that.
Agreed, last series was all over the place like a mad cows shit, definitely needs to have more focus for the series to continue successfully.
I agree with some of the posts above, in regards to last season. This used to be one of my favorite shows but the writing went from bad to awful with the Doomsday Killer. I’m also not too encouraged by the incest angle with Dex and Deb, unless the writers really want to take this series into a much darker place.
Yvonne is staggeringly beautiful in person. And always upbeat and charming. Happy to see this.
