The overseas trailer for the Weinstein Co Django Unchained went out today — the Quentin Tarantino pic bows Christmas Day in the U.S. but lands internationally in January via Columbia Pictures (in the UK on January 18). It’s a tightened version of the teaser unveiled last week but gives a slightly clearer picture of the storyline.

I was grinning involuntarily throughout. I. Cannot. Wait.
That’s funny I was doing the same thing
I predict this movie will do as well as Machete and Grindhouse. In other words it will under perform like most of QT’s over rated and hyped films normally do.
the original trailer really caught my attention and wet my appetite for the film— this one, however, really surprised as to its pedestrian and almost boringly over the top quality. Not so sure anymore as to real interest, as this trailer seems to self censor itself leaving any of the orginal lines intact so as to not offend.
And yet still becomes a franchise, like those movies you listed?
This looks merely okay. When is someone going to make a REAL black western… with actual black cowboys (Peebles’ “Posse” deservedly excluded)?
Fantastic trailer. Keep making them Weinsteins, they are getting better and better.
Looks like a another cartoonish blood splatter revenge fest with zero character development and a grade school grasp of history. Just like Inglourious Basterds.
“a grade school grasp of history. Just like Inglourious Basterds”
Yeah, because Tarantino was definitely going for historical action/drama in that film, rather than a “pulp” graphic novel approach.
You seem to really have a grasp of film, keep it up.
If your characters start out awesome, they can stay awesome the whole time. Indiana Jones baby!
This is going to be a damn good movie. It’s historical fiction. Lighten up.
Wow! Much, much better than I anticipated. Now, I cannot wait to see this.
Hope this is better than INGLORIOUS BASTARDS. That movie sucked eggs!
Is pulp/exploitation all that Tarantino’s capable of producing? Has been done. Is getting old, exhaustive, repetitive.
Better than the first one.
