I have a question, if you know the answer I will highly appreciate it. Now that American Horror Story moved to the Miniseries category, does that mean that Jessica Lange will now compete against Julianne Moore? I think that Lange would have had a better shot at the Lead Actress (Drama) category?
She will be SUPPORTING.
AHS creeping into that category having 12 eps in its first SEASON, is pretty BS if you ask me. Mad Men has only 1 more ep (13) as do many other cable shows, shorter orders even (Breaking Bad S1 was 6 eps). Someone in Hollywood really likes Ryan Murphy and it certainly isnt me.
You don’t have to have a Crystal Ball to know “Game Change” will win for something, the question is how many will it get and does it really deserve any.
I’m hoping HATFIELDS AND MCCOYS wins best mini-series. Too many series are trying to cheat their way into the Movie/mini category when they’ve all been picked up for seasons 2 and 3 (I’m looking at you, American Horror Story, Luther, and Sherlock)… And aside from Julianne Moore’s solid Sarah Palin impersonation, I feel like HBO has been mailing it in for the past couple of years. Let me guess next year’s HBO slate– a political satire of Obama vs. Romney by Jay Roach, something incredibly British, and at least two low-rated vanity pieces with big name casts.
