It looks like Chris White is keeping his job at Fox News Channel. White was the associate producer at Fox & Friends credited with creating a four-minute video critical of President Obama that aired on the morning show Wednesday (see it here). “Chris White will remain employed with Fox News,” network EVP Bill Shine said today. “We’ve addressed the video with the producers and are not going to discuss the internal workings of our programming any further.” White was allegedly offered a job at CNN, but the rival news network said yesterday it would not hire him after all.

An AP at a 24 hour news station does not book edit time and create a 4 minute piece that airs without the producers and exec producers above him fully aware. It just don’t happen. And if it did he surly would be fired.
Exactly. This was a wink wink response if ever there was one. They were testing the waters to see how extreme they could go and will continue down this path because Fox is not a news station they are pure propaganda.
The whole thing was sickening. He created it, with encouragement from some idiot Fox and Friends producer. They thought, “hey, Shine’ll love this,” then the backlash. They couldn’t fire this kid for towing the line, couldn’t fire the Fox and Friends prod. because, in their eyes it was a job well done. When CNN distanced themselves from the stink the kid was left out to dry. So they keep him or reassign him, or something, what does it matter? Fox News has done more to feed the blazing inferno of partisanship that will inevitably destroy this country. They make me sad.

Actually, CNN and MSNBC primarily bash low level critical thinkers. And the people who belong to that group are generally conservatives. Not very bright, can’t make an argument to save their lives, generally inadequate, completely dependent on logical fallacies to “justify” their beliefs, and dumb enough to tell themselves that they’re getting it right.
Let’s not pretend CNN and MSNBC are without bias, by the way. Duh. But in the grand scheme of things, on a scale of 1 (low bias) to 10 (extreme bias), CNN and MSNBC are in the 3-4 range while Fox recalibrates the scale by clocking in around a 13.

A “flap?” Everything was true on the video. Of course it put Obama in a negative light, but it’s not Chris White’s fault that unemployment has risen, gas prices have gone up, and more people are buying food stamps than ever before. If Chris White’s job was in question, then Obama’s should DEFINITELY be in question. At the same time, those that believe that a President is in control of EVERYTHING that goes on in this country are wrong. If everyone had better financial habits, then you wouldn’t have to worry about an idiot like Obama.

Honestly, what did he do wrong here? You might not agree with what is being said but is it factually untrue? The data seems pretty clear.
As far as I can see, Obama’s words were not selectively edited out of context (like the NBC Travyon Martin case clearly was).
Why do we have to fire people for telling the truth just because we don’t like it? Is there no room for political commentary anymore in this country? If so, you might want to erase every Andy Rooney commentary from old 60 minutes tapes.
Just because you don’t like the message doesn’t mean you have the right to shoot the messenger.
While the majority of film stars tend to be vocally liberal, an equal number of “closet” Republican executives exist. “Hollywood” has always had a contingent of conservatives at its helm.
Regardless, I miss the days of nightly newscasts that stated the facts, and then provided a clearly identified “commentary”. I don’t watch Fox or MSNBC. I am personally acquainted with one of the Fox talking heads, and she is one of the most self-absorbed, self-promoting people I have ever encountered. She will say what they want her to say, to grab the spotlight whenever possible. Most of these arrogant assholes (both sides) are in it for fame and fortune, and an ego blast.
These “news” outlets feed on the fears and prejudices of the viewing audience, and the results have become increasingly destructive to our nation.
