Gordon Ramsay’s new Fox reality series Hotel Hell has been assigned a premiere date. The show, featuring Ramsay as he attempts to fix troubled hotels, will debut with a two-night series premiere Monday, August 13 and Tuesday, August 14 from 8-9 PM. It will continue airing in its Monday 8-9 PM slot beginning August 20. Hotel Hell was first scheduled to premiere April 6 and then on June 4, but it was held back both times.

I’ve heard from people who’ve seen it that the show is awesome and VERY different in tone to the usual ranting Ramsay fodder. We’ll soon find out.
“awesome” Iascoop? Is that why it’s been pushed back twice? sounds like someone’s invested in the show.
While chef Gordon Ramsay is set to premiere “Hotel Hell” on Fox, I prefer 1980 horror flick “MOTEL HELL” – after all, “It takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincent’s fritters!”
You should probably drop the chef reference. With all the shows he has on both American and British TV, he doesn’t have time to cook any longer. Definite overexposure.
I love everything he does I cant get enough exposure from this straight shooter of a man!
To each their own, but I have never and will never understand the appeal of this guy.
Hmmm… Hotels are basically boring places just to sleep between travel. What could be interesting with this show? Oh Oh there’s dirt under the bed. Oh Oh sheets need changing. Oh Oh air conditioner doesn’t work. On and on… The restaurant show worked because people were involved. Everyone has had a bad restaurant eating experience and some great ones too. Sometimes it’s the chief, sometimes it’s the manager or wait staff. Many personalities are involved. But here as a Hotel show, I can’t imagine what Chief Ramsay can do to make this interesting. Good luck with it though.
Jack, Jack…plenty of fun things happen all the time in hotels! You seem to have relegated them to a purely interstitial space. Try not to judge.
What Mr. Ramsay brings to the table, any table, as it seems, is attention to detail. Here’s hoping he’s brought his world famous attention to detail to the ins and outs of hotel management and/or cleanliness. I do agree that his personal brand has limits. FOX intends to quantify these limits, obviously. Perhaps Mr. Ramsay can take us into “RedBox Hell”, or “Clean Up Your Glovebox Ghenna”.
Jack M.,
Clearly you haven’t seen Travel Channel’s Hotel Impossible. Lots of personalities involved, owner/manager conflicts, & way more to deal with than just dirty beds and broken air-conditioners. These are resorts that include spas, restaurants, and entertainment venues. I’m not a Ramsay fan, but the hotel industry is far from a boring place to sleep between travel experiences. Hotel lobbies, engineering depts., housekeeping…everyone gets a makeover on these shows.
Jack M, have you seen Travel Channel’s Hotel Impossible? Hotels are far from boring places to sleep between road trips on this show. They’re entire resorts that get makeovers, from the lobby & check-in system to the spa and restaurant. It also involves many people with strong personalities, highlighting owner/manager conflict. I’m not a Ramsay fan, but if his show is as good as Hotel Impossible, I think you’ll like it.
You obviously have never worked in a hotel.
My daughter is a General Mgr for a major hotel . You would be amazed at what happens in hotels . A hotel without agood mgr with a supportive staff turns into hotel hell in a short period of time.
I can’t wait for this show especially since I have learned what really goes on in Americas hotels.
FOX is over-exposing this clown with all these shows just like the CW did with Tyra Banks and ABC is doing with Shonda Rhimes’s shows. Hotel hell will be done and over with after a few episodes.
I couldn’t agree more…There have been several shows Fox has let go that will be better than Hotel Hell…i would take Chicago Code, Lie to Me, or shoot even Breaking In. Please Fox executives WAKE-UP!
The only one of these shows that I respect is Bar Rescue on Spike. Jon Taffer knows his stuff. The Restaurant fix-up shows are dubious, because a bad, negligent owner and a bad location are two big reasons a restaurant goes down. Irvine does it better than Ramsay though. As for the Travel Channel, I can’t stand Hotel Impossible. The host on that show doesn’t have much credibility, and he’s the master of the obvious. He’s also just unlikable. Hotels are hard places to improve, unlike a restaurant. Many are just too big. It’s probably just best to start over with a new building. I think something that’s more feasible are motels. It wouldn’t be hard to fix those up, get rid of the tube TV’s, dated furniture, that could be done for minimal money.
And everyone wonders why the TV audience keeps shrinking every day!
Hotel Impossible re-do? Compared to Anthony Melchiorri’s 20 year experience in the hotel business, what does a chef really know about hotels besides their kitchens? Really? I agree with Jed, Ramsey is way over exposed!
The Hotel Impossible dude is spot on. His experience and credibility is extraordinary and it shows. He gets in deep to the nitty gritty of the hotels, and really seems to make a difference. I don’t usually watch Travel Channel, but Hotel Impossible is my new favorite show!
I love Ramsay! I think he knows how to run a business, regardless of whether it is a restaurant or a hotel. He is direct in his approach and knows how to get to the bottom the problem in a business. I really love how brutally honest he is and that he says what he thinks even if it upsets the owner.
Terri-
the operative word in your comment is “brutally” Unlike Anthony M. of Hotel Impossible, who is respectful with those on the show, Ramsey is disrespectful and crude – to put it mildly – and besides a hotel is not a restaurant. He’s not even fit to shine Anthony’s shoes in this area!
“Stick to what you know” my mama always said
Get real people, Ramsay REALLY knows his stuff that’s why he is the expert and you aren’t! He knows his way around a kitchen so well I bet he could do it with his eyes closed. I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to see Hotel Hell. Some hotels are just gross and so dirty, Ramsay is there, and NOW THEY WILL GET CLEANED UP!!!
Love all of the shows by Gordon…Im sure I/we won’t be disappointed… Keep them coming Gordon Ramsey! <3
love all chefs shows ,every one is always entertaining ! and i know Motel Hell will be too , But as a mom & pop uniform store for last 15 years , how about another new show ( IDEAL) and call it ( RETAIL HELL )! I KNOW WE sure could use a professional make over !!!! And chef is the master business man that could pull it off , just my thought for today!!!!!
Ramsay is awesome because he tells the truth, something Americans have forgotten. It’s fine to encourage people but telling can hopefully encourage them to improve what they need. Unlike Ramsay, I keep mum when the food at a restaurant is bad and later write a review of what I think of the place. Ya gotta admit, some restaurants and hotels have no business being in business considering how they are run.
I love hotel impossible. I hope Anthony B cam do as well!
I love Chef Ramsey, especially when he gets mad. Some say he has a big ego I don’t really see that. I love all his shows matter of fact save mon & tue nights for him.
why isnt his show on i want to see him why cant hotel hell or kitchenmares come on for master chef and hell kitchen replacement hello fox what are you doing i need chef Ramsey
