• I really, really like Kevin James but he keeps getting genuinely disappointing roles. Last time I enjoyed a performance of his a lot was Hitch.

• The only redeeming quality about this trailer is Salma Hayek. If Chris Farley doesn’t die, I don’t think we ever know Kevin James.

• Another writing ‘gem’ from the male equivalent of Diablo Cody…. Mr. Allan Loeb. I am indeed surprised to see Loeb’s name attached to such an uninspired offering. But, hey, can’t hate on him too much because he is very well compensated and oft employed.

  And I agree with the poster above. I, too, haven’t liked Kevin James in anything other than ‘Mall Cop’ (a barely passable move) and ‘Hitch’…. speaking of ‘Hitch’ what the hell happened to the career of the ‘Hitch’ scribe? Kevin Bisch was en fuego career-wise and, then, POOF. Nada.

• It’s always jarring to see established actresses slumming it in shitty comedies and playing second fiddle to some shlub club hero.

  Salma Hayek in Grown Ups and this movie, Kate Beckinsale in Click, even Katie Holmes in Jack and Jill. It would be like Brad Pitt playing Anna Faris’ wet-blanket boyfriend. Just depressing.
