• That’s horrendous. Look for big changes at Fox Animation. They’re headed for an executive shake-up. Blue Sky just doesn’t have the talent of the other animation studios. Rio was embarrassingly corny.

  Madagascar 3 feels like a hit this weekend. Brave looks great. Ice Age 4 will probably disappoint.

• I was not a RIO fan either, but didn’t that movie gross almost $500 million worldwide? I don’t know how that could be considered a fire-able offense for executives on a film that isn’t based on a known property and isn’t a part of an established franchise. And, to me, ICE AGE 4 at least looks more exciting than that snooze fest…

• Who cares how good/not good it looks. ICE AGE flix do very well overseas. Part 3 did $886 worldwide. It’s going to do very, very well.
