John Stamos is about to get busy in New York. The Glee guest star has joined the cast of the indie comedy My Man Is A Loser, which follows two men trying to be better spouses. Michael Rappaport and Bryan Callen play the husbands. Stamos will unsurprisingly play their playboy pal who tries to help them get their spark back. Mike Young, who wrote the script, is directing. David Goldin and Eric Bamberger of Step One of Many Entertainment are producing with Michael Becker of Imprint Entertainment. Loser starts filming in NYC this month. Also in the Big Apple, Stamos is joining James Earl Jones in Gore Vidal’s The Best Man, currently on Broadway. He will take over Eric McCormack’s role as presidential candidate Joe Cantwell in Vidal’s 1960 play about backstage jockeying in presidential politics. Stamos, along with Cybil Shepherd and Kristen Davis, will join the play July 10. He is repped by WME and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

Mr. Stamos is a gifted Drummer. I was lucky enough to see him Play the drums at a Beach Boys Concert in Coto De Caza a few years ago and he really plays great. Hope his new gig goes well, but he can always fall back on his musical talent to earn a fun living.

I really like Erik Mc Cormack, but John Stamos will be fantastic in this role..will be getting our tickets as soon as we can. I suppose this will nix the Beach Boys events? We are bringing Chris(Turningstone) to SPAC 6/23.
He could fall back on having people pay money just to get a glimpse at him! I also saw him at a Beach Boys concert and he was great! (and EXTREMELY good looking)! All the now 20-something former Full House fans still loooove Uncle Jesse!
I’m quite anxious for this to come out. The writer and director, Mike Young, is so talented. He’s a professional comedian and performs all over the country. Mike has recently finished filming a movie and is now working on a second one. AND, he’s really a great peep.
Stamos and co are terrific. They all carry weight in this side splitting rapid fire comedic exhibit of brilliance. You will tell ourself it’s hang ov??what , and bridesmaid?? What etc. but then realize its not. Because its funnier and covers a whole other topic in our 40something lives. See it in 2013 it’s gonna gross more than you know.
