  • reviews are mixed. too bad american distributors don’t want to risk anymore. the movie has been sold EVERYWHERE but here in US. sad.

• Thats not what i heard. I heard avi was holding firm at 4 million. they had offers but nuimage wouldn’t make a deal. They always wanted to hold on to this

• I’m sure it’s no worse than most of the movies out right now!! i.e. Rock of Ages….AWFUL. If an animated movie outdoes you, than you know it’s bad.

• Despite all the negative reviews, I’m really excited to see it. Paperboy is an incredible novel and I appreciate that Daniels worked with Pete Dexter on the screenplay. I hope it leads to more of Dexter’s novels being adapted, which is long overdue, especially considering David Milch completely stole the concept and characters for Deadwood from Dexter’s 1986 novel of the same name. It’s rather remarkable that Milch, being such a thorough researcher, claims to have never even heard of the book!
