Lifetime has released color images of Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor and Grant Bowler as Richard Burton from the cable network’s upcoming biopic Liz & Dick. (Click on the images for larger view.) The first image of the pair surfaced Monday.

So they can dress up a sociopath who can’t act to look like Liz Taylor? Whee.
Wow! Some of you people sure are unforgiving…good job your lives are so very perfect at all times and never any mistakes or regrets!
It must be wonderful to be such paragons of perfection that you can be judge, jury and executioner to yet another lost soul and victim of Hollyweird’s vulture culture: grab ‘em while they’re young, take away their trust and innocence, use ‘em and abuse ‘em, then discard them.
After all there are many more starry eyed girls and screw loose stage mothers only too willing to whore out their children, to offer them screaming on the alter of the Casting Couch and dream about being Rich and Famous and The Next Biggest Thing since, um, uh, Anna Nicole Whatsherface or something.
So this is for all of you who can’t or won’t give Lindsay another chance to turn her life around…try and keep in mind it was her two idiot parents who are first and last responsible for ruining their daughter’s life by putting her in the impossible position of being their sole breadwinner – and trying to grab a bit of ‘fame’.
The pressure that is placed on these kids as child stars and what happens when they start growing up is horrendous; between the pedophiles, the perverts, the casting couch, the drugs, the seemingly endless line of syncophants and leeches can only be described as evil.
You naysayers need to give your head a shake. Lindsay’s being given another chance at redemption.
You’re not so perfect yourself.

Photoshop can really do wonders, but what will they do on film to cover her haggard, destroyed looks? Vaseline on the lens?

Liz Taylor had beautiful lavender eyes, Lindsay has bloodshot eyes.
It doesn’t really matter if she looks like Liz though..Hype and sales count most..I hope she does a great job.

One can only imagine the amount of make up needed to transform Lindsay into something resembling Elizabeth Taylor. I’m still not sold despite the hair and makeup teams best efforts.

Just because she looks glam, doesn’t mean she can do Elizabeth Taylor justice with her sub-par acting skills. I hope they have a coach on set for her….
Lohan’s looks are too generic, like Katharine McPhee as Marilyn Monroe. Bowler doesn’t look a thing like Burton, more like a short version of Rex Harrison.
I absolutely adore Elizabeth Taylor, so I’m not too happy or excited about this movie. However, I will try to be positive and wish them all the best.

Her face barely looks human for all the post work done to it! I mean just look at their hands and then look at their faces. Absolutely different skin tone. Whoever did this (I’m guessing Lifetime’s crack PR department) needs to go back to school to learn how to properly use photoshop.

I wish I thought that either one looked like them. not.
This is overkill already. They already made a decent biopic of Liz years ago with Sherilyn Fenn.
I wish everyone would quit being so hard on Lohan. It wasn’t so long ago that she seemed like a bright young actress destined for great things. Yes, she’s made some mistakes, but underneath everything I think there’s some serious talent there. I for one hope it shines through, and this role becomes a stepping stone towards a long accomplished career.
Grant Bowler doesn’t look a bit like Richard Burton, and I just can’t buy him in that role. Lohan looks a lot like Liz in the stills, so I would reserve judgment until I see how her acting is int he part. But after having seen a number of Liz and Dick’s movies, I am seriously in doubt that these two will be believable in the movie.
Do I expect this project to wow audiences? No. Do I expect it to be award wining? No. Do I expect Lohan to take this as an opportunity to prove herself? Yes. If Lindsay shows up on time, prepared, and humble then this project served it’s purpose.
For those of you attacking her looks, talent, or mistakes, why doesn’t Robert Downey Jr. get this type of hate? It’s really nasty to attack an insecure person. Get some compassion or at least be equal opportunity haters.
Downey Jr is a great actor and he’s gotten his addiction under control. Lohan is not a great actor and does not have her addiction under control.
Talent is subjective. Besides, a professional acting career isn’t based solely on talent. I have no insight into her personal issues and unless you’ve recenrly worked with her you wouldn’t either. Just wish the girl luck and hope she learns from her mistakes. Just because your a “star” doesn’t mean you’re less human.
I know resemblance is not irrelevant, but everyone is making way too big a deal out of how they look. Sissy Spacek doesn’t look anything like Loretta Lynn, George C. Scott looked nothing like Patton and De Niro didn’t look like Jake La Motta, but they were convincing with their performances. I know Lohan isn’t in their league as an actress but stop criticizing her just because she’s not an exact replica of Liz Taylor. It only shows that you don’t know anything about acting.
Downey and Lohan are nothing alike. Downey didnt pump his lips full of fillers and plumpers or his forehead full of Botox. He got strong reviews for his acting. Lohan appeared in commercially successful films. Parent Trap was a success because of the story and the original and Mean Girls was mostly because of Tina Feys writing.
Also, Downey was a drug addict who cleaned up his act while is a party girl with some dui’s. Regardless of her publicity fueled rehab stints she was not/is not combating a serious addiction problem. Go to a college campus and you’ll find thousands of girls acting just like Lohan.
She’s not some sob story of adversity and personal challenges, shes a mediocre actress who’s squandered her fame for tabloid covers and let her immaturity and entitlement derail her career. She exactly where she should be, on the D list because that’s where she worked to get. You can’t be arrested that many times and not expect people to think less of you. She’s a has been with too much publicity but wait for her to get a comedy pilot next year!
