EXCLUSIVE: MTV has ordered a pilot for Little Esther, a docu-comedy project starring young comedian Esther Povitsky. The pilot, which is completing production, is being produced by Stone & Company Entertainment. It chronicles Povitsky’s relationship with her (mostly male) young standup comedian friends, providing a glimpse into the young LA comedy scene. Povitsky was discovered while Stone & Co was casting another pilot for MTV. Povitsky executive produces Little Esther with Scott A. Stone (The Joe Schmo Show), Rico Martinez (Viva La Bam) and John Mass of Oasis Media Group. Povitsky’s managers Lee Kernis and Brian Stern of Brillstein Entertainment Partners serve as Consulting Producers. MTV is known for giving shots to young comedians.
