No way MTV pulls this off.
Foul foreign kids are funny because they’re someone else’s problem.
A TV show about foul American kids will just remind me why I hate leaving the house.
Just that small picture of the cast makes me certain it’s doomed to fail. The foul language was a major part of the humor, especially Jay’s sex talk. The American version of Jay will be neutered.
damn it! did they not learn from “Death Valley” last year… ratings where so bad in the same slot that they never even did a press release for its cancellation
MTV didn’t promote “Death Valley” and they programmed it against Monday Night Football and History’s “Pawn Stars.”
The British show was amazing. The MTV show will suck.
Can anyone say “Skins?”
Don’t care who adapted it for American television. Translating British humor to American television is very difficult. Few have done it successfully over the years. We’re talking MTV here, with its limited resources.
These are funny kids. I can’t wait to see the US version of this!!!
Anybody that had anything to do with arrested development will have me as a viewer
Dare I say maybe better than the original?
It’s all about the quick in-and-out zoom moment when something genuine occurs – at least it was on the original which I assume will be better than this. Whatever happened to the “Doctor in the House” film series? Health care is such an issue today – Maggie Smith’s character in “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” has to go to India to get a hip replacement rather than be put on a long list – and that Simon Bird guy on the original “In-Betweeners” is an excellent straight man.
Leave British TV alone, America!
I’m American and I love the British series. It’s one of the few shows that I feel really can be appreciated by anyone. I’m cautiously optimistic about the remake.
