The Good Wife has added Nathan Lane in a recurring role for the CBS drama’s upcoming fourth season, the network announced today. He will play a bottom line-obsessed manager imposed on Lockhart & Gardner by the bank to cut costs and get the firm back to fiscal health, and who finds himself at odds with everyone there. Lane will appear in the series’ season premiere in September. He joins recent recurring cast additions Maura Tierney, Kristin Chenoweth and Marc Warren.

Great actor, great casting. I love seeing someone like Nathan play against type.
This is clearly gonna be a great season.
Nathan and Christine Baranski were terrific together 20 years ago in “Lips Together, Teeth Apart”.
Hoping for a musical number at the Holiday Party with Nathan, Christine, Kristin and Alan Cumming
They were is “Birdcage” together as well. Love, love, love this actor.
So much stunt casting. They are not playing around this season.
great casting, this is the best show on tv, love it!
Great casting! And great idea for a character. I’ve worked in law firms and everyone usually does dislike the “evil administrator.” Wonderful – love the show already, and love Nathan Lane!
This show is becoming so gay!!!!!
It’s not that the show is “gay”. It’s just that all the male characters have feminine features to balance out the strong female characters.
ALL the male characters? Will, Peter, Cary, really?!
Peter — butch city
Will — the kind of guy who gets a mani and pedi
Cary — purdy; like, he could do drag
Julius — somewhat prissy in that British sort of way
Zach — comes out of the closet this season
David — total flamer
